I don't really understand how people put Chandler ahead of ZZ...just because of NBA talent bias, or is it because ZZ is so short?
Chandler averaged 14 ppg and 4.7 assist.
Shot 47 pct from field
38 pct from 3
Was a Freshmen All American .

So yes he should be near the top.

Plus led Tennessee to their first SEC Tournament Championship since 1979..

It's tough. I think ZZ runs the offense like nobody else can and that also makes it very challenging for defenses. It's atypical what he can do.

But Chandler's ability to drive to the rim, score in traffic, and score nearly at will was incredible. I wish we'd had him for a year or two more and I think he'd be more memorable if so. I'd at oeast take the two of them together.

I could very well change my mind by the end of ZZ's career. Its not a slight on any of those players, we are down to splitting hairs. Its close.

So Kennedy leaving after 1 season hurts his place on top PG status.
Although some are hanging Knecht jersey in rafters and retiring it after one season🤨
I don’t remember Kennedy’s one off as being epic in any fashion. There were flashes, but he wasn’t a consistent force. Ziegler actually outperformed him in some games and was far better defensively.

Chandler wasn’t always WILLING then. He’d disappear in many games…and in clutch situations. He definitely could have used further development. No denying the innate talent, but ZZ will be appreciated far more when legacies are quantified. No matter what ZZ does or doesn’t do at the professional level.

I remember people saying he should definitely come back. . . unless I'm confusing him with Springer, maybe.

Could you imagine that guy trying to make it through just one of Barnes' practices? He'd be puking within a couple of minutes. Lol
I’ve learned to believe in the magic of Garrett Medenwald. Don’t know how much Grant Williamsesque physical transformation he could accomplish on this particular specimen with the timeframe involved…but he’d look different.

People say this about most players.

Tobias Harris
Kennedy Chandler
Keon Johnson
Jaden Springer
Julian Phillips

The beat goes on....
Harris justified his decision…and was a first round pick with an immediate impact. Last four in your list? Cept for Keon Johnson and Springer being first rounders…not so much.
