Dang, if I remember correctly that’s the vehicle that I “borrowed “ for @InVOLuntary , @BaldBiker, @Orangeredblooded and me to be able to see Neyland absolutely destroy the powerhouse vandy team (he was the giant killer back then). Had to admit that I even got a little nervous when Cafego jumped onto the roof from the team bus and car surfed all the way to Cookeville after the shellacking Tennessee gave vandy!

Another thing to remember about Bernard King, all you old timers know...there's no telling how good he could have truly been, if he didn't have his demons. Drugs, and especially alcohol, took away from him. Hell, at UT, he had already developed alcoholism by the time he graduated...just think what his numbers could have been in college, if he had devoted his drinking time to his game, they would be unapproachable.

So true…..my brother in law actually coached him in the pros. Some of the stories are “interesting”. Still love Bernard and always will.

Guys I’m gonna kinda open up a bit here. Last April I suffered a supposed concussion. And I really haven’t been the same since. In July I started seeing static in my vision and ultimately it seems like I’ve developed something called Visual Snow Syndrome. There are no definitive treatments for it at this time. It’s been kinda hell living with it and trying to adapt to it. It’s exhausting. I won’t go into much more detail at what I have to put up with every day, but wonky visuals, no energy, and daily migraines are just the surface of it.

I just ask for prayers. In surviving but I miss living.

The loss of something we take for granted is often devastating. I will pray for you.

Auburn will have him so locked down.... That said, it occurred to me last night that Barnes and Pearl have made each other better. Who woulda thought we'd finally see a Barnes team with a scorer and a Pearl team with elite D (and as a bonus playing each other at TBA)?

I hope you're right and there is no way he comes back here. Only coach coming back that could be worse as far as I am concerned is Donnie "My Cousin Vinny" Tyndall.
