There was a sequence when there was no one between Gaston and the hoop from about 15 feet out and Jones by herself under the basket. All the OU players were busy tripping all over each other and falling to the ground. Gaston turns towards the hoop to see Jones doing jumping jacks. Takes one dribble, picks up her dribble, hesitates until the rest of the OU players run back, then bricks a jumper. And 6'4 Jones gets outrebounded by like a 5'10 player.I said Vic is trying to go thru Booker to much will not work. Texas will need other players to step up
It's not a matter of impact to Tennessee's resume, which I agree will be boosted by a win over the Big 12 champion. More about the pain I endured as a viewer spending 30 min watching that horrendous last 5 minutes gameplay lol.I doubt the selection committee cares if was a sloppy game or not. Doubt they even watched. Bottom line is that an OU win now or In the Big 12 tournament can only increase our resume value.
Especially when you could have been watching Dalton Knecht put on one of the great performances in recent SEC history. So sad he's only here one year. It's not a matter of impact to Tennessee's resume, which I agree will be boosted by a win over the Big 12 champion. Bueckers at #4I don't like the list.

Caitlin Clark, then who? Ranking the top 25 women's basketball players
Caitlin Clark a unanimous No. 1? No surprise. But a freshman has taken over No. 2 in ESPN's player rankings, which includes four rookies overall.www.espn.com
Bueckers at #4
Edwards at #8
So why again is UConn losing games against all the ranked teams if they have 2 of the best 8 players in the game?
Good to see Rickea back on the list
Since you post on the UConn board you should know the answer to that. Muhl the defensive player, and two freshmen starters. #6 and 7 are also freshmen. The teams they lost to were at one time in the top 5. What ranked teams have Tennessee beaten? Edwards is the only competent post they have, and she is double or triple teamed every time she gets the ball. Bueckers is as good as ever, but she refuses to shoot like CC, its not her style. I think they have done pretty well based on half their team does not suit up.Bueckers at #4
Edwards at #8

We beat Oklahoma that just beat number three Texas for the second time and won the Big 12.Since you post on the UConn board you should know the answer to that. Not a good list but people making this list probably aren't even women basketball fans.I don't like the list.

Who has more talent on their team: Iowa or UConn? Yeah, that's what I thought. You can make all the excuses you want, but Bueckers supporting cast is way better than Clark's. Iowa has no one on their roster close to Edwards. The downplaying of UConn's roster with the simulatenous elevating of the injured players is just further excuses.Since you post on the UConn board you should know the answer to that. I'm not trying to make excuses. After watching the Villanova game last night, I know UConn isn't a top 10 team. If they make it to the sweet 16, I don't think they will advance further than that. It's not lack of talent, its lack of experience. The freshmen now are shooting terribly, and if they want to advance the freshmen have to make their shots. BTW, I believe Rickea is a top 10 player, and I would take her over Angel Reese any day.Who has more talent on their team: Iowa or UConn? Yeah, that's what I thought. You also don't have to remind me of how bad Tennessee is this year. Fully aware, I complain about it all the time too, but I don't claim that Tennessee belongs anywhere in near the top 10, nor do I believe that Rickea is a top 10 college player (although her pro prospects are much higher than players who have had better collegiate careers)
Objectively, Rickea is a better, more complete, more well rounded player than Angel, and that will be further evidenced when she is drafted ahead of Angel in the draft. But the reality is that Angel (individually speaking) has a more accomplished collegiate career, and based on this year, those accomplishments will be why she is an All American and Rickea is not.I'm not trying to make excuses. So they have a senior led team, including 2 of the purported 8 best players in the country plus 3-year starter, and two All American freshmen starters, with another 2/3 All Americans on the bench (not sure if Samuels was an AA). And that's supposed to make people feel bad for UConn?Because everyone else that gets minutes (Muhl aside) are all Freshmen? What’s funny about still being a Top 10 team despite that?
Rickea is a top 5 player. She just doesn’t shoot as much as she should.Who has more talent on their team: Iowa or UConn? Yeah, that's what I thought. So back to the list. Is that based on upside or based on college accomplishments? If it's upside, ok...an argument (albeit a weak one) can be made for Bueckers up so high as a former POY, but not Edwards (she doesn't have more upside than a Rickea or god forbid Cardoso); if it's based on performance this year, the argument for both UConn players goes down. Where are their signature moments...at least outside of the BEast?
I don't dispute that Paige is a every good player, but she is not the 4th best player right now and no way in hell is Edwards the 8th best. I mean, come on.
How many times have you seen Bueckers play this year? She is stronger and better than she was as a freshmen. She is always double teamed, she plays the 4 on defense which means she is being beat up by forwards, not guards. She is hitting 55% of her shots, and Dawn herself said that she will be an Olympian. As far as Edwards, again you haven't seen enough of her. I don't care what you say. I would take those two any day for my team. You can't make statements like that without seeing them play more than once, geez. Oh yeah, you can say anything you want about the quality of the BE, but the SEC, other than LSU and SC, sure aren't much better. She's a top 5 player based on talent, but not based on on-court performance. Bueckers or Edwards are neither IMO.
