2024 Presidential Race

May as well have...which we both know was the point.
That Times Square remark was very telling of how Trump thinks of his supporters. Trump thinks his supporters are akin to that of a cult following .... and it is impossible for him to ever fall out of favor with them. That appears to be accurate.

The most shocking thing to come out of the Trump catastrophe over the past 8 years is how accurate Trump's assumptions about that segment of the populace actually were.

I've heard that phrase for every candidate of every party in every election going back to Carter and Reagan.
There is, has, and always will be q segment that feels that way about any particular president.
The issue is the size and fervency of that segment.
Is it 2%, 5%, 10%, 25%, or 50%.

Trump was and continues to be rightfully fervently reviled by a larger percentage of people than any previous president.

Dems on social media are working hard on spinning numbers out of MI tonite

You just posted about 10 social media posts from Republicans spinning the numbers .... Do you really think that Muslims are going to vote for Trump? He did once try to impose a ban on travelers from Muslim countries, after all. Trump has also said that, if elected, he would bar Gaza refugees from settling in the United States. Muslim Americans will either vote for Biden or not vote at all.

So what that you've heard it? No one has been remotely close to Trump in that regard
It's "what if" doom-n-gloom fearmongering. Except for leading us into wars, which Trump never did, the presidency has very little impact on America. For proof, Biden has dementia and the country continues to hum along.

Reviled politicians =/= needing luck with the next four years.

Trump said the stock market would crash if Biden won. That didn't happen at all.

muslims may not vote at all

Which is why I eloquently and accurately shared:
"...every candidate of every party in every election..."

Biden: Put yall back in chains
Trump: pick em
Hillary: [edited to say hog added]
Obama:
McCain:
Romney:
Bush 2, Electric Boogaloo:

There's no telling how many quotes the posters of VNPF could find and how far we could go in finding bombastic fearmongering.

That's true. The good news for people who have an intense loathing for Trump is you don't have to worry about anything he says because he will literally say anything.

At least with other politicians, we have to consider (even if momentarily) they may be serious when they say stupid stuff.

I tend to think Muslim Americans will hold their nose and vote for Biden in the general election. They may not like his support for Israel's strikes in Gaza, but that's much better than Trump and his Muslim country travel bans .... and would Trump have handled things any differently following the Hamas attack? His proposed ban on Gaza refugees would seem to indicate not.

Remember people (I think it was Hillary) that said Trump would lead us into WWIII?

All of them say dumb chit that doesn't come true.
All true. Which begs the question, why nominate a piece of sh!t that the other side hates?
If we agree that the president has little to no direct impact, then pick someone who is more of a overall uniter than divider.
Unless of course, you want the country to be divided.

I agreed that it was every candidate of every party of every election....past, present, and future
BUT NEVER TO THE SAME DEGREES.
And since it is every candidate of every party of every election, the only thing that can be significant is those degrees.
You guys and your equivalencies.................

There is no universe in which all candidates should generate the same levels of fear and concern. That's simply asinine.

Both would be far better than Trump or Biden.
And yet none of them would unify this country anymore than any other candidate.
Not by any measure. Or by any continuum. Stop letting your feelings blind you.

Everyone should seriously reflect on their top 5 issues, for them and their family. And then they should vote for the Candidate (that’s actually running for President. Unlike Liz, Romney, and Big Mike) they believe will fight for those issues the hardest. That’s what I’m going to do and that’s why, as of now, I unapologetically support Trump for President.
