Actually thoughts and prayers do work, when a people/culture actual spend time in stoic thought and prayer.

What doesnt work is a culture that is continually programmed by western propaganda media into decay by pushing atheism and narcissism into the mainstream. The American cultural well has been poisoned.

Until we fix our decaying culture, nothing is going to stop our descent.

The Trump version of the GOP is much more working class oriented, which Party leadership hates. There are 2 roads for the GOP, move left toward the middle which will win back some "college degree" voters or move more toward populism which will bring in more working class voters. Right now the GOP is trying to appeal to both and caught between a rock and a hard place.

I don't see the GOP trying to appeal to both working class and more educated voters. I see what few moderate Republicans are left in Congress trying to contain the increasingly radical crazies that run the gamut from the true rednecks to the christian zombies like little Mike Johnson to the conspiracy theorists and Putin apologists.

The GOP is going to regret its allegiance to the vile and mentally ill Trump. Trump has always been a pathological liar, but he now stands up and spews nasty, transparent and ridiculous lies. Sign of a desperate man. He's got his little martyr bit now when he tells the crowd that what his happening to him with his indictments and trials could happen to them--and that "I'm being indicted for you." Oh, my. Humorous. At some black-organization gathering a night or two ago, he called Biden a "vicious racist." Wow--of course the opposite is the truth and this is an indication of how desperate and unhinged he is. He's been going around trying to take credit for the stock-market boom. Desperate: Everybody laughs at him. There is literally nothing he won't say or do now to get elected. It is actually scary to see a presidential candidate--and ex-prez---who is so sinister and so lacking in respect for /everybody/ and every thing--starting with the poor, misguided people who actually listen to him. They clearly are desperate, too.

At one point at the supposed black gathering, a camera pans the crowd and I saw only white people in the small crowd. I'm sure there were a few blacks scattered among them. Trump, of course, is the real racist--he went around for months/years demanding to see Obama's birth certificate; years ago, after an assault on a white woman in Central Park and 5 black kids had been arrested, he ran a full-page ad in the NY Times suggesting the young men should be hanged. Turns out they were innocent. He's many times made clear he's a white supremacist. But then the gangster spends all day, every day, trying to con people with his obvious bull$hit.

On rare occasions, regarding some social issues I will challenge Republicans.

I agree Trump is not a conservative.

Who does the GOP regret more, Trump or W Bush? Whose lies led to more death and destruction?

That is basically who is leading the 2 sides of the split in the GOP. Bush "Neoconism" led by McConnell, Graham, Romney, Haley, etc and Trump America First populism.

You want the Neocons back leading the GOP?

After reading some of the posts on this forum, if any of you have hope in the Democratic Party to get us back to where we need to be, you are making a choice not to see how bad they are driving this country in the ground. I understand there are a lot of people that don’t like Trump and how he presents himself. Truly, I wish he would keep his mouth shut sometimes as well. But if you look based on results of how the country was operating with him in office vs. how it’s operating now, that should give you all the answers you need. Some people need to get over the fact that it is trump and start understanding that he is the best man for our country. There is a reason he is getting more and more of the countries votes…. Like him or hate him, people are waking up and realizing just how good they had it while he was in office.
