2024 Presidential Race

Fiscal responsibility means slaughtering a lot of sacred cows and allowing people to experience hardships. What are some of your cows you are ready to send to the slaughter house?
I’m not qualified to make that decision nor is it what I am voting for. I’m not voting for the decision. I’m voting for the person I think has the knowledge, experience, selflessness and creativity to figure out the right process and decisions. I don’t see that person on the projected ballot right now.

As a voter you are qualified to have an opinion of fiscal policy and should demand candidates explain their fiscal policies before you vote for them. I don't think basing a vote off of the character they play in front of the news media is a very wise way to decide such an important matter.

Michael Morell, the CIA director under former President Barack Obama, donated $1,000 to former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign in November, according to campaign disclosures.

Morell became an infamous political character after organizing a letter from 51 former spy chiefs that falsely alleged the New York Post’s reports on Hunter Biden’s “Laptop from Hell” appeared to be Russian disinformation, a House Judiciary Committee report found.

Joe should withdraw and it's possible he will. If he does it won't happen IMO until close to the convention. If he withdraws now potential Democratic candidates will be gashing each other with hatches and knifes until August. To withdraw like that would be a disaster if the presumed R candidate were anyone but Trump. There are not many fence setters when it comes to Trump so he has probably rounded up about all the votes he's going to get. It's just a matter of getting Democrats to go out and vote. A new candidate would likely increase enthusiasm on the left and bring more people to the polls.

So you’re a staunch advocate for bodily autonomy? Me too.

How do you feel about vaccine mandates?
Since no blue font I’ll assume your comment is straight forward. Yup, my body, my temple. Unless I’m a threat to others.

Depends on threat to spread, knowledge of vaccine side effects, and sufficient data to determine vaccine efficacy with high confidence. Each vaccine should be considered independent of one another. So polio - Yes on mandate. Covid - No on mandate.

You could move to Canada and move up that 20 year timeline...ya know if its better for the onlyfans society
Meh. I tested that. Lived in northern part of Vermont for several years. Beautiful place but too cold (grew up in the South). Also, not nearly enough diversity for me. I like it when people have different experiences, cultures and ideas. Can’t get smarter if everyone you hang around with looks, thinks about and does everything just like you.

Good answer.

But get out of here while you still can!!

Yes, my question was straightforward.

No, you don’t believe in bodily autonomy. Which is fine, to each their own (or not, I guess here).

I'd be unhappy if I were a Democrat voter that the entire process of candidate selection was discarded and they simply made a selection for everyone. It comes across as "Here's who we're telling you to vote for. You get no say and you'll like it."

Certainly wouldn't increase my enthusiasm.

Yes! I’ve made this point here a few times and nobody has answered it.

How are Democrats OK with this strategy?? Some kingmakers will select the next candidate and they expect the party to get in line? Nobody at all seems to care about this. I haven’t heard anyone object to this scenario. It is so bizarre.

Democrats have been doing that for decades so they are used to that.

How is it any different than what has been going on for decades?

Lol. No it wasn’t. It was based on an ambiguous “threat to others” burden.

Not to mention that the right to bodily autonomy can be overridden by the State - if they say it’s super duper scary enough.
It was a great answer. There could be a scenario when a mandatory vaccine would be 100% appropriate.

And I'm guessing they would select Newsome

Who determines if you are a threat and to whom you are a threat?
