Someone disagrees with my political views--and so, he says, "there's no way he could have been a scholarship athlete." That's hysterical--as if there is must be a connection between the two. So utterly lame. (And people get annoyed that I poke at rubes. Well, how about trying to make a bit of sense once in a while.) And, as you say most state-school athletes aren't necessarily very bright--kinesiology majors!--but my post undergraduate background is quite a different from most student-athletes.
