2024 Presidential Race

They do it for the same reason democrats do. To win elections.

Sure .... but when it comes to black voters, Republicans could stop the practice of racial gerrymandering .... and in doing so, build up some credibility with the black voter, and then try appealing to them through sound policies that are beneficial to the black community.

That isn't what Republicans want, however,

Republicans would rather try to keep diminishing the importance of the collective black vote, through systemic racially gerrymandered district maps.

You think money is infinite and govt solves problems. Spare me the intelligence debate
I think money is infinite? - The accusation is absurd.
Govt can absolutely help solve problems. Anyone who believes otherwise is proving my point.

Biden losing votes from black men and women.

Don't they know Rs will "put them back in chains"???

Black voters know that Republican-controlled state legislatures and Republican Governors nationwide, do everything they can to gerrymander districts in such a manner, as to consolidate as many black voters as they can into as few districts as possible.

Take a look at the shape of the district maps in states such as Alabama and North Carolina. This is done strictly for the purpose of reducing the importance of the black vote in those respective states. It is an established fact that through the practice of gerrymandering, Republicans want black voters to have as little voice as possible on election day.

If Republicans truly cared about courting the black vote, would this be such a common practice in red states? I'm very much hoping that you will pathetically attempt to argue that Republicans don't gerrymander districts with race in mind.

I can easily prove otherwise.

I had no idea gerrymandering was only practiced on the R side. Wow.

Break out the chains, errybody. Rs putting the black folks back in them.

That's not what I said .... Democrats gerrymander as well, but the difference is - Democrats want black voters to collectively have more influence at the ballot box, while Republicans want just the opposite.

The primary reason that Republicans don't get more of the black vote is obvious. They don't want it. If they did, they wouldn't try so hard to reduce the importance of the black vote.

Do you really want to argue that? It's not a winning proposition for you at all!

So Democrats gerrymander? Whose voice are they trying to minimize...whose influence are they negating?

Nobody's .... they want black votes to carry more weight. That's it. Republicans want every black vote to be from the same district. Just look at the shape of some of these maps in red states. LOL.

You are such a clown for arguing this.

So Rs gerrymander and that reduces voice and influence, Ds gerrymander and nobody's voice and influence is reduced?

Thats super neato. It must be magic.

It's more like Republicans gerrymander and Democrats un-gerrymander. The shape of district maps in blue states are more geographically congruent. That is just a fact. Republicans draw maps with districts shaped like 2 headed snakes ... and we know why that is. They want every black vote in their state to be from the same district. It is a racist practice, which is frequently shot down in federal court.

Ah. Fascinating. You began your straw man with Rs gerrymander. Said both do when questioned directly. And now, Rs gerrymander and Ds un-gerrymander.

My gosh. I cannot compete with such irrefutable logic and consistency. Please stop before you destroy me further.

If you are trying to say that red states such as Alabama and North Carolina don't have racially gerrymandered district maps, which were drawn for the purpose of consolidating the black vote? Then that makes you an ignorant fool.

The point I was making only concerned the black vote and a key reason why the Republican Party has such little appeal to the average black voter.

That key reason : Through the practice of racial gerrymandering, the Republican Party has gone to extremes in order to reduce the collective importance of the black vote. Republican Party-controlled state legislatures and Governors across the country have engaged in a coordinated effort to consolidate their black votes into as few districts as possible.

As long as this practice is in place, the Republican Party will have no credibility when they court the black vote.

Simply put : Republicans don't get the black vote, because they try so hard to de-emphasize the importance of the black vote. They blatantly and systemically try to lower the collective voice of the black voter at the ballot box. It is intellectually dishonest of you to pretend otherwise.

You have tried to deflect and change the subject away from the Republican Party's treatment of the black voter to a more general discussion of gerrymandering. That wasn't my point and you know it. You want to know why black voters don't support Republican Party candidates? Because Republicans try too hard to take away the importance of their collective voice, and they are smart enough to realize this. If Republicans want to make inroads into the black community, they should start by eliminating their systemic practice of racially gerrymandering districts at the state level.

A neutral poster would be capable of acknowledging that reality .... but that isn't you. You won't acknowledge that the racial gerrymandering of district maps by Republicans even happens. You will never do anything but deflect the discussion over to something unrelated concerning Democrats.

im just curious if who’re is a legitimate grammatical contraction. i missed a whole life of opportunity.

One interpretation of that would be that on average, dems are simply smarter.

About one-third of Republicans say they believe Taylor Swift is involved in a covert government effort to help Joe Biden win the 2024 presidential election, a poll published Wednesday from Monmouth University found.

I wouldn’t start a Democratic circle jerk just yet. I mean most Democrats couldn’t perceive Jose Biden’s mental deficiencies in the 2020 campaign. It was obvious. They believed some Trump Russia hooker story. They thought Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian propaganda. I think it’s probably got more to do with the Biden admin being a dumpster fire.

Wow .... at the very least, I must commend you for the effort put forth in this summation. LOL.

For the first three years of Trump's presidency, the economy was doing reasonably well ... and his job approval numbers were terrible. Always between 40-43%. That was because of Trump's abrasive personality - which hasn't changed.

.... and the Mueller probe ended over a year before Trump left office. That was a dumb thing to say.

And Biden is doing even worse. Does Kamala poll better than Biden?

On the day Donald Trump left office, January 20, 2021 .... his Real Clear Politics Average Approval Rating was 41.1%.

Joe Biden's Real Clear Politics Average Approval Rating is currently 39.1%.

That is a 2% point spread .... which is within the 3% point margin of error. I said they were about the same.

I didn’t argue with you. I just factually pointed out Jose’s is lower and he’s not weighed down with all the baggage of Trump.
