War in Ukraine

Ronald Reagan would roll over in his grave if he witnessed the new MAGA "Republicans" cozying up to Russia. Will Trump be the death knell of the GOP?
Maga is not cozying up to Putin. If Trump were President, Russia would not have invaded Ukraine for they were afraid of Trump like they were afraid of Reagan...peace through strength. The war in Ukraine is the result of a weak, incompetent Biden and bad foreign policy and should never have started and the deep state does not seek peace for it makes money off of wars. Ukraine has little chance of winning this war as the US squanders billions of taxpayers dollars away on it while the southern border is wide open to invaders. If it reaches the point that the war mongers send US troops to Ukraine and US kids die in Ukraine, I predict there will be a big backlash of the US population against the profiteering war mongers sending kids to die for the most corrupt country in the world with a facist, corrupt leader.

Russia is not the problem, it's China.

Trump didn't say one bloody thing about Putin occupying Crimea and Donbas when he was president. He tried to withhold the weapons that Congress had mandated he send there.

Obama basically did nothing when Russia moved to occupy Crimea. Again, had Trump been President in 2014 that would not have happened.

Obama has his excuses for his failures. Obama cozying up to Putin?

Which of course is why Putin removed Russian soldiers that had been in Ukraine since 2014 when Trump took office in 2017...

Oh wait...

there were no wars under Trump, no invasions. Obama soft on Putin and weak incompetent Biden lead to Ukraine invasion. Don't blame Trump for messes Dems created.

Lol, Russia's occupation of Ukraine went on the entire time Trump was in office.

He only signed the bill to apply additional sanctions on Russia, because Congress forced him to, and immediately stated that he was not happy about having to do so.

He also legitimized Russia's invasion and occupation of Crimea.

And Trump did nothing to rectify Obama's mistake, in fact he floated the idea that the US would recognize Russian occupation of Crimea as legitimate, and only increased sanctions on Russia, because Congress forced him to.

His own advisors were worried that Putin had influence over him.

Am I correct that the Cesar sunk in the sea of Azov? Ukraine currently controls no shore with the sea of Azov. How did they get multiple drones in those waters?

House Lawmakers To Offer Their Own Ukraine And Border Bill

Several members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus argued any legislation should prioritize border security and contain offsets for foreign aid.

House Republicans are planning to unveil a Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan and border bill as an alternative to the border-free package that passed the Senate on Tuesday, a lawmaker leading the effort said Wednesday.

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) told reporters the proposed pathway could be revealed as early as Thursday — and that he will brief Speaker Mike Johnson on its contents prior to its release. He said he is working with “a handful” of colleagues from both parties in the Senate and House, but declined to name names or give details of the proposal.

Fitzpatrick said Johnson claimed during Wednesday morning’s House GOP conference meeting that President Joe Biden would not meet with him on border security measures, reiterating comments made by Majority Leader Steve Scalise during a Tuesday interview with CNN.

Asked if the alternative proposal would contain humanitarian aid to Gaza, Fitzpatrick said “not likely in this one.” Limiting the scope of aid would reflect GOP arguments that the U.S. should only be funding the weapons needed for Ukraine to defeat Russia.
