2024 Presidential Race

They are a cult. Trump could read Mein Kampf in English and they would give him a standing ovation.
Why would he do that?

I like a Kennedy?????

I feel so dirty.
Remember, the left has gone so far left that traditional liberals are more like watered down conservatives. Think Bill Maher. 5 years ago you wouldn't think him to be anywhere near normal, but now.... So yeah, a Kennedy is rational by comparison to the tards they have running things.

Wasn't it closer to $5 trillion between Trumps bill and Bidens)
Yea, Trump's was $2.2T in March 2020. The one I am referring is the $2T under Biden in March 2021. The graph below shows something was needed in 2020 and it was positive for the economy. The question is was the additional bill needed in March 2021?

Trump’s comments on NATO were stupid, irresponsible, and unproductive.

But I’m getting a kick out of some the pearl clutching over it.

I watched an entire segment on CNN where they quoted anonymous NATO country leaders & military commanders talking about making preparations to “go it alone” if Trump is re-elected.

Sure, make preparations. Nothing wrong with that.

But this hand wringing that “going it alone” is the only option? What if the NATO leaders simply… paid their bill?

Would render the entire pointless threat moot.

"The arrangement between the VA's Financial Service Center (VA-FSC) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to process claims for migrant medical care is a longstanding one that actually predates the Biden administration and was outlined in a 2020 memo during former President Trump's administration."

Who started this BS?

No .... as the President of the United States, you don't encourage an attack on an ally over money. That is ridiculous. It's a classic example of cutting off your nose to spot your face. It was an irrational thing to say, and very reckless and irresponsible of Trump. It's poor leadership from an impulsive speaker, who can't keep his emotions under control.

If you want to withdraw the United States from NATO, because we are carrying too much of the financial burden? Fine.

If you want to try and remove someone from NATO for not paying their fair share of the membership fees? Fine.

Saying that you will encourage Russia to "do whatever the hell they want," to a strategic ally because of money? Not Fine.
Agreed on that. Of course we all know Trump is a blowhard who constantly embellishes, exaggerates, sensationalizes, lies, etc. Trump is the kind of guy that if he tells you 6 inches you better cut that in half. Of course, I’m talking fish length here. I don’t see him actually allowing Russia to run rampant unchecked but who knows these days. It’s hard to trust any of these idiots we have for candidates

It is hard to get your mind around what Trump said at that rally in South Carolina. He basically said that he would encourage Russia to invade a sovereign nation, potentially leading to a war which could kill hundreds of thousands of people .... a nation that could possibly be a strategic ally of the United States ..... because of unpaid NATO membership fees? SERIOUSLY?

^^^^ .... and Trump received applause for this. ^^^^
There you go again. That’s not what Trump said. Trump said if a country had been invaded by Russia he would not defend that country if they didn’t pay. Still not good but he’s not telling Russia to invade. There’s a difference.

Edit: If Trump makes a stupid comment let it stand on its own without twisting it.

To be exact ....

Donald Trump said that he would encourage Russia "to do whatever the hell they want," if they did invade. So, you are right that he wasn't encouraging the invasion itself .... but he said much more than just that he wouldn't defend the country which was under attack. He also said that he would encourage Russia to do whatever it was they wanted after they had invaded. There is a small difference like you say, but it was still a threat ... and still reckless.

Beginning at the :30 second mark of the video and running until the 1:04 mark, Donald Trump says this :

"NATO was busted until I came along.

I said, 'Everybody's gotta pay.'

They said, 'Well, if we don't pay are you still going to protect us?'

I said, 'Absolutely not.'

They couldn't believe the answer.

They asked me that question.

One of the presidents of a big country said .... one of them said, 'Sir, uh, .... If we don't pay, and we're attacked by Russia, will you protect us?'

I said, 'You didn't pay? You're delinquent?'

He said, 'Yes.'

I'd say, 'If that happened? No. I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want.'

You gotta pay. You gotta pay your bills.
"

For the record, I do not believe that such a conversation ever took place. If it had, then Trump would have brought it up before now, and he would have specified who the president was.

This is classic Trump. He fabricates discussions, which he thinks make him look strong. He would tell us who he had specifically spoken to, if that alleged conversation had actually taken place. Trump loves to drop names. He is a bull $hit artist. In this instance, he got carried away and said some really stupid things. Trump is impulsive and can't keep his emotions under control. He is also dishonest and an egomaniac.

Both Kennedy and whoever posted the video are stupid. Countries have only joined NATO because they decide it's in
their national and strategic interest to do so--not because Western defense contractors, or Washington, talked them into it. Let's
see: would you like your Eastern European country to be under the boot of a backward, repressive dictatorship or aligned with
the more prosperous and free Europe and the West? It's a very easy call. Who do you think are the biggest supporters of Ukraine?
Eastern European countries who used to be under the boot of the USSR and Russia but have been free of that terrifying yolk for
25 years.

And who is the "they" keeping Kennedy from running? Isn't he independent? Nobody is stopping him from running. I hope he does--he'll
take votes from the gangster, not Biden
. So much lameness among MAGA.
I wouldn’t assume that at all as that’s not the way it played out in 2016 and 2020. All those votes that went 3rd party in 2016 shifted to Biden in 2020 and gave him the margin of victory.

Sorry .... but you can't convince me that anything would be worse than having Trump elected again. He is an irrational and unhinged lunatic. He proves it all the time. That speech in South Carolina is consistent with past behavior. The guy is just plain crazy.

You said that before Biden's 1st term yet here we are.

Beating your wife last night was nowhere near as bad as it would have been had you not restrained yourself.
I was confident people would see how ridiculous the comment was.

I have less confidence that those same people also know that it is equally ridiculous to claim that Biden's term is worse than Trump's 2nd term would have been.

Opposite sides of the same coin of ridiculousness.

As long as it makes sense to you, I guess.
