Former Vols OL Gerald Mincey clarifies his trash talk directed at Tennessee​


Mincey, who played at Florida before transferring to Tennessee, insisted that his former Vols teammates are still his "guys".


"It's fun, football, you gotta have fun," said Mincey of the rivalries with his former teams. "Some people get a little rowdy, talk a little trash here and there. But those are still my guys, they're still my brothers. Like Tennessee, they know what it is. They're my guys. Same thing with Florida."

"I'm not a big rivalry person -- obviously, I went to Florida (and) Tennessee," added Mincey. "Now I'm at Kentucky. I don't look at rivalries like that. I just look at a group of young men put in a position to help change their families' lives with a game called football."

There's no guarantee that the rule will be passed this offseason. But if it is, it will be a good thing for the Vols. Anything that adds more plays to the game is a plus for Tennessee's up-tempo offense.

But we don't need no stinkin clock. When you run plays in 15 seconds clock only hurts when it stops. Now that we don't has Mincey, we don't have to wait on his fat ass to get back to the line.

South Carolina HC Shane Beamer should be ashamed after his latest stunt​


Beamer should've had enough class to recognize that hiring Elliott would throw Georgia State's program into disarray. I guess Beamer, despite what he's selling on the recruiting trail, doesn't believe in putting players first.

And sure, those aren't his players at Georgia State. But he should still care about their experience. Again, this sport is about the players.
