I've got family in a small town in Alabama and that 25% makes sense to me from what I've seen. Poor education, few (if any) accessible good jobs in rural areas, and an attitude of "just get through high school...that was good enough for me" towards kids. Leads to a cycle of poverty that's hard to break...although I had a cousin who finally broke that cycle, but that was because he married a girl from a neighboring state that pushed him to do more with his life.25% of children in Alabama living in poverty is terrible.
Wth are they doing in that state? Not even about sports. That's sad.
You can tell me for a fact that most female college athletes are engaging each other in extracurriculars? Methinks you have just put female athletes in a box of your own creation. The only way “you know for a fact” is as a witness…I truly don’t believe you have witnessed most female college athletes engaging in extracurriculars. No I know where this discussion started. But I'm saying that you're nuts if you think teammates boning each other is always toxic.
