I have seen recent police video of it happening right here. Short answer - drugs. The video was cleared for public review. How can a taser have no effect?
Every time there’s a police shooting where they empty their weapon center mass, some brainiac will ask why don’t they just shoot the weapon out of their hand, shoot them in the leg or tase them…this is why.Parts of Maryville are bad. A couple of parts in Alcoa are rough too.
I think the guy was from alcoa. They found his car a few miles from the shooting. Reports say he was injured too.
It happened at 8.30p last night. He could be anywhere by now. I think he's dead in a ditch, stupid enough to go home, or headed to mexico.
Also said he is a previous felon with a firearm. Probably why he started shooting in the first place (felon w/firearm is an auto 5yrs in fed prison I think.)
They ordered him out of the vehicle, he refused. They tased him to no effect and he pulled a gun and opened fire, killing one officer and injuring the other with non life-threatening injuries.
From what I can tell, they found his car a few miles away from the incident.
That DL Bears had in 1985 is one of top 3 all time .Julius Peppers also being cited by Bears fans. That’s more a Panthers legacy. Really hoping McMichael makes it to the enshrinement, but at least he’s conscious of his life’s work being rewarded. No one signified BEARS more than him. I could watch Hester highlights on a loop and never tire…truly special. But I got the TO vibe from his camp that he actually had to wait. It wasn’t a travesty imo. Good day while our elite think tank fans continue to debate the first overall pick.
Anybody who questions why fire pretty Holly should be forced to watch the third quarter of that game. Tight game at half. See which coach made adjustments and which coach sat there and watched it all fall apart. Never seen such a slow footed LV team in all of my life.I see Pretty Holly doing pretty holly things yet again… 16 point L to Bammer… it’s ridiculous at this point. So pathetic.
I was happy he was here, but his ceiling is 5th or 6th option on a more balanced team…like the Nuggets. Mavs were looking for their 3rd guy, and PJ Washington is physically capable of that whilst being less basketball intelligent than Grant.Feel bad grant has been a journey man. At least he’s going home. Hopefully he’s getting pay raises along the way.
Mavericks was lacking at the 4 position and Grant wasa 3 trying to play the 4.I was happy he was here, but his ceiling is 5th or 6th option on a more balanced team…like the Nuggets. “We”Nick Saban:
“The NCAA can’t enforce their rules [against pay-for-play] because it’s not against the law, and that’s an issue, that’s a problem,” Saban said during his now-viral speech in Birmingham last month. “And unless we get something that protects them from litigation, I don’t know what we’re going to do about it.”
Saban has proposed in recent weeks keeping boosters out of the NIL process by identifying collectives as representatives of a particular school.
NCAA:
NCAA member schools and conferences not only make the rules but routinely call for greater enforcement of those rules and holding violators accountable.
This legal action would exacerbate what our members themselves have frequently described as a “wild west” atmosphere, further tilting competitive imbalance among schools in neighboring states...
Greg Sankey: July of 23'
The individual states are also preventing the NCAA and conferences from adopting and enforcing reasonable NIL standards...
They will never collectively bargain their NIL value away. That is essentially what they earn for commercials. No league bargains that aspect of player income. The only real benefit to the payroll part is schools could offer the same base pay for lower level athletes. For conferences where all the parties can afford it. That could be collectively bargained, but top athletes will want more. Always. A cap at the team level can exist to help also, but again people will want to exceed it the same way franchises pay the penatly to exceed it in pro sports. The toothpaste will always be out of the tube on top athletes, like Nico. Schools will find ways to sweeten the pot beyond what Joe blow on the practice squad gets per the CBA.Unless the players collectively bargained it down...

That and the darts failing to deploy or impact correctly, which happens about half the time.I have seen recent police video of it happening right here. Short answer - drugs. The video was cleared for public review.
Three officers on the scene. One was a family member. The man is about 300 lbs., middle aged and running down the middle of a highly traveled highway at night in a tourist location you would know. He was screaming gibberish at the people in cars passing by, trying to grab the vehicles. The officers ordered him to stop, he got aggressive toward them and resisted, one officer tazed him, he reacted violently and took off running down the road. They followed him until he ran out of steam. Surrounded him and manhandled him to the ground, put the cuffs on, got him into a squad car. On the way into booking, he damaged the back of the car.
After booking and subsequent release a couple of days later, he did it again within a week of the first incident. That time they just took him down and took him in. He is still in jail - detoxing - I guess.
Most people are totally clueless of what is happening all around them every single day. Thank an officer for his/her service today.
