We beat ourselves in that game plain and simple. We had quality shots all night in that game. Can't miss 12 layups and almost 10 free throws and win. Buckets just didn't drop but the shots were there. I doubt we have another game like that this season. We will beat Lamecocks on the road here soon.

I honestly think between just not dropping shots and looking ahead to Kentucky cost us that match up. If we go to South Carolina and get the dub that will prove that.

Just another reason why I wanted vrabel gone

I was reliably informed by the sports media establishment that Vrabel was one of the best coaches in the league and that the Titans were fools to let him go.

It’s a shame we have to sit back and watch him lead his new team to a Super Bowl this coming season.

I don't know if Vrabel was ever fully the problem...but the amount of injury issues the Titans suffered every season at some point has to be on the coaching staff and whatever they're doing (or not doing) to prepare for the season.

And as many pointed out the path to a SB is pretty universal, pay a top level QB, pay an elite pass rusher, pay a game changing WR, and pay for HOF level LT. In his time as the Titans HC I think LT is the only position that you could argue was actually paid...and even then Lewan's injury issues kept him off the field a lot.

I guess they though Marcus was going to be a top level QB...but they never paid an elite pass rusher or game changing WR until they could snag guys that were pass their prime.

Not sure how to feel about this. I mean, yes, that he was being tampered with is interesting and newsworthy, and he should name names. But it also seems like he had actual interest in coming back, and we didn't do enough to get him to come back. I know not everyone would agree, but having Jalin this year would have been really nice.

May have been Heupel doing what was best for Jalin. He only could have hurt his draft stock by coming back
