What about the neighbor without a boat. . .There is no school who has massive resources beyond ours. Tennessee has massive resources. Besides if a school lacks resources they should go get more or prioritize what they have, it is a matter of priority in many cases. Vanderbilt lacks in football but that is because it is not their priority, they are a very wealthy school.
Let's say someone spends most of their money on a really nice boat but their car is garbage. His neighbor has a nice car and a modest boat. Should the the fella with the nice car be punished and have to help the other dude buy a better car?
orange kitties and chocolate labs are the greatest pets in the history of pets (for my family).
The NCAA's level of stupidity to do that would be absolutely jaw dropping. As of now, there is no irreparable harm shown. You have a player miss a year of play, which can't be replaced with mere money, and the worm turns immediately. Those two AGs would do cartwheels in their offices if that came down today.
We have a female chocolate labradoodle. I’ve never had such a great dog before. Got her when my son was 3 and he’s 10 now. She’s always mothering him and sleeps in his bed with him. She follows me around though and that makes him jealous.

Basically, the NCAA has lost all power and hates it. They also hate that they were not able to do much against Tennessee even though it appeared they were in control of that situation. So they are wanting to prove they still have some control that schools should fear their ability to come at them at any time and want to use Tennessee to do it since Tennessee not only didn’t cower in a corner but became the most aggressive….and did it publicly. Unfortunately for them, the schools with millions on the line are not willing to sit back while they pick and choose who is going to be their whipping boy. Will be interesting to watch how GA, AL and OSU responds going forward.Everyone..... READ THAT ARTICLE!!!!!!!!!
Should tell you everything you need to know about the witch hunt for Tennessee right now!
Just a little snippet:
"Usually, the first year of a contract is guaranteed at a certain number. But there are often incentives for players to raise their NIL payments based on how they play. Conversely, a few players mentioned their NIL payments could go down if they don’t perform well. Beyond cash, players often also receive additional incentives like a leased vehicle.
“The way I have it, the first two years are 400 guaranteed, and after my sophomore year I can ask to renegotiate based on how I play,” Recruit 2 said.
“If you produce, you get bonuses,” Recruit 12 said. “Some schools do it differently, but that’s how ours does it.”
As for what players must do to earn the money, responses varied from appearing at charity events and social media posts to just being on the team.
“It’s a collective thing,” Recruit 6 said. “Just be part of the team, everybody gets it.”
Recruit 2 said that there were no off-field requirements tied to his pay.
“I think it’s just from the collective,” he said."
NCAA probably: There's nothing to see here.................move on.
If the AGs hadn't filed suit, the NCAA was prepared to move forward. They influenced the timeline. The NCAA is arrogant and power-hungry, but they couldn't have wanted this fight. They must have underestimated Tennessee's willingness to meet aggression with aggression instead of cooperation. The NCAA's level of stupidity to do that would be absolutely jaw dropping. Bush maneuvers himself huge swaths of power. When the news dropped yesterday, my Twitter feed was littered with opposing fans laughing and calling for the death penalty. And then a short time later, the news from the AG drops.
The same thing happened last week when the initial NCAA hit piece dropped from Forde and then a couple hours later, Donde’s statement and the AG antitrust news comes out.
It just baffles me each time when people don’t read the fine print and wait for details to come. It’s also hilarious that so many other opposing fanbases are hoping something bad happens to TN. Ironically, if TN loses the case, their school is probably at risk too.
This is a dumb and disingenous oversimplification..Why don't you use that argument for the NFL? According to you anybody should get to tell their employers how much they want for their work and where they want to work...they get what they want with no strings at all.Recruiting limits on instate kids. Schools can't sign more than three athletes from their home state. Consumer demand trumps the athlete's right to go to college where they want.
So...use that argument for the NFL.Texas' major advantage is not money, it is the fact that they are located in one of most talent rich areas of the country, Missouri is not. They are a huge brand, kids grow up wanting to go there. Five kids ever grew up dreaming to play for Mizzou. Should we force Texas to send some of its talent pool to Missouri and force people to have a lifelong love for them?
Until recently the Ohio Valley was one of the most talent rich along with California and both locales have huge brands, is it any mistake that dominant programs came from there? It's about the Jimmys and the Joes and brand. Missouri has neither and money is not going to make up the difference.
This tells me the ncaa was wanting to declare Nico ineligible, glad we went on the attack to spoil this plan!If the AGs hadn't filed suit, the NCAA was prepared to move forward.
