There is no school who has massive resources beyond ours. Tennessee has massive resources. Besides if a school lacks resources they should go get more or prioritize what they have, it is a matter of priority in many cases. Vanderbilt lacks in football but that is because it is not their priority, they are a very wealthy school. Not a fan. Guardrails needed IMO. Otherwise, schools with massive resources, beyond ours, have yet another advantage (Texas).
More than the week. The week is just to rule on the injunction that would restrain NCAA during the trial, which is apt to take some time. So, to sum up the decision today:
It doesn't technically meet the standard for the TRO to proceed but the NCAA has a week to settle/back down/etc or get embarrassed.
Is that about right?
No. I wouldn’t expect to get a temporary injunction if we didn’t get a TRO. Not impossible, just not likely. So, to sum up the decision today:

Judge probably put a governor on the NCAA w/o the TRO.No. I wouldn’t expect to get a temporary injunction if we didn’t get a TRO. Not impossible, just not likely.
But the judge is signaling that the NCAA will ultimately lose this suit on the merits.
Texas' major advantage is not money, it is the fact that they are located in one of most talent rich areas of the country, Missouri is not. They are a huge brand, kids grow up wanting to go there. Five kids ever grew up dreaming to play for Mizzou. Should we force Texas to send some of its talent pool to Missouri and force people to have a lifelong love for them?Well, if you believe that there is zero chance at regulating the whole thing, then yes, let it all roll without any guardrails. I on the other hand believe Caps can work and help teams like Missouri compete with the Texas's of the world longer term.
Recruiting limits on instate kids. Schools can't sign more than three athletes from their home state. Consumer demand trumps the athlete's right to go to college where they want.Texas' major advantage is not money, it is the fact that they are located in one of most talent rich areas of the country, Missouri is not. Until recently the Ohio Valley was one of the most talent rich along with California and both locales have huge brands, is it any mistake that dominant programs came from there? It's about the Jimmys and the Joes and brand. Missouri has neither and money is not going to make up the difference.
More what I meant was that if a judge puts it out there that "Tennessee is probably going to win their case" it seems like it would give the NCAA a hint that they should back off.More than the week. Yeah, I don’t think the NCAA should have taken that decision as a green light to go forward with investigations and disciplinary measures.More what I meant was that if a judge puts it out there that "Tennessee is probably going to win their case" it seems like it would give the NCAA a hint that they should back off.
Amen to that. For anyone that needs it. Given the NCAA uncertainty maybe more than normal.

This really hits home for me right now. Thanks. For anyone that needs it. Given the NCAA uncertainty maybe more than normal.
