War in Ukraine

I mean I'm well aware they are tacking on the border stuff to appeal to the flat earth "wing" of the Republican party. I think the Ukraine aid makes sense as a stand alone, and to be honest, so do the vast majority of the Republican senators who are now very much pretending they don't want to support it.
that doesn't explain your foreign policy comment.

the 60 billion came from the border bill. not sure how you are separating those two things.

and still doesn't address the issue of how spending money somewhere else is actually putting America first. no matter its source. we have plenty of problems here at home, but the Biden admin requires aid to Ukraine to even start thinking about working here at home.
LOL

Republicans have zero intention of dealing with any issues at home.

Ukraine aid makes sense as foreign policy. It is in no way putting "America last."
Biden has put into practice a policy of no border deal until/unless Ukraine gets money. that is exactly America last. an American president is refusing to take actions to protect Americans here at home until a foreign government gets paid, thats wrong on every single level. a lot more money too. if it was 60 billion for the border with 6 billion for Ukraine, you MIGHT have an argument. no American policy should EVER be tied to any type of foreign policy requirement.

long standing empires typically don't fall to outside threats, Russia, they fall due to internal issues, the border. whats the point of saving Ukraine from Russia if the Russians can just walk across the southern border? we have to be secure here at home first before we can worry about fights we aren't bleeding in on the other side of the planet.

I hear Ukraine is running out of bullets.

same thing as Bakhmut. the Russians have been grinding away men and material to take inches. eventually the Ukrainians are forced out before they are put into a bad position. just like Bakhmut the Ukrainians have had enough time to prepare a fallback line and this won't change anything.

both sides lost a good bit of material and men, and these battles tend to favor the defenders, so its reasonable to think that Russia has bled more to take, than Ukraine has to hold. especially when they are able to hold out so long.

If Russia was able to make a break thru and force the Ukrainians to flee or capture a bunch, then the numbers would be different. but everything about this says it sucks to be the attacking force. just like the Ukrainians summer/fall attack.

where did I say that they did? you are just deflectng.
You said he requires Ukraine aid before starting thinking about problems at home. In reality, the Ukraine aid was its own thing, the GOP tried to tie it to the border, then made it clear they aren’t serious about doing anything about the border when he called their bluff.

You mean the GOP was against the never ending Ukraine aid, so the Dems tied it to a crap border bill. idk maybe McConnell was involved in trying to tie them together, doesn't matter, because its all still crap no matter which side is pushing it.

you mean besides the house bill they passed back in the summer? they aren't serious about the border parts in the bill because they are crap, but that's a discussion from another thread.

It probably will be, but the American people deserve to hear both sides, as Tuckers says and decide for themselves.

My guess is Tucker's questions will be pre-approved and this will be nothing but softballs. So no, this won't be a case of hearing from both sides.

This...as usual, we were sold a lie...

So Putin didn't send Igor Girkin into Ukraine with unflagged Russian troops in 2014 to pose as separatists, after threatening Ukraine with a "pro-Russian insurgency" the year earlier for even thinking of signing a trade deal with the EU, and didn't escalate that 8 year old invasion in 2022?

Where exactly is this "lie"?
