My post from yesterday was not a statement that Hank is the GOAT...I don't think he is, although he's my favorite from those era's, along with Mantle; all I am saying is, he's not talked about like he should be whenever discussing the greatest player of all time.

To argue against Willie Mays is foolish, just like arguing against Ruth or Gerhrig or Williams or Mickey or Joe D or Clemente or Hank or Bonds, along with a couple of others (they ALL can make an iron clad argument for the greatest, imo). Im not saying Willie is the GOAT neither, but his argument is as good as anyone's, same with Aaron. If someone held a gun to my head and said choose, I'd probably choose Ruth as the GOAT...but, even then, I'm not so sure I'm 100% confident in that choice.

Also, you said "probably Top 20" about Hank??...that's crazy, imo; and, here I was respecting your knowledge of the game.

Another thing...I agree totally that Williams is the greatest hitter of all time, no question; however, Tony Gwynn can't be just ignored and brushed off in a discussion about such. Yes, Williams it is, but Gwynn is right there, right behind him.

Depends on how bad they NEED one player with local ties and how much they’d give up PENDING Poles, Cunningham’s, Waldron’s and (to a lesser extent) Flus’s interviews with Williams and or other prospects as well as Fields. People forget that Poles was a significant part of the Chiefs decision to trade up for that system QB from Texas Tech. As far as MHJ? Damn good player! But if the powers that be don’t evaluate Fields as the answer at QB? They’re not going to throw a talent on the field with no consistent vehicle to distribute the ball to him and Moore imo. They haven’t interviewed or worked out a single player yet and they didn’t decide on Darnell Wright last draft until the now infamous workout shortly before. If they decide Fields is worth it, I could see several tradedowns that may or may not include Washington. Kingsbury is no factor. If they interview Caleb and he is THE guy? They’re taking him imo and try to get that vital second rounder by trading Fields. If neither is as impressive to them (or it’s real close) I could see them trading down one and taking Maye. Lot needs to happen before anything imo.

Anything that causes a basketball team to lose it’s cohesiveness is bad for the team and affects the play of said team. It doesn’t matter if it’s 2 teammates having a thing for another teammate or 2 teammates having a thing for someone not on the team. Players will take sides and instead of pulling together (which is critical for a basketball team) these players are pulling away from each other.
