In general, bears are not condescending, but there is one species that can be very condescending.

What species, you may ask?

Something I think they should have mentioned is that this is just the opening salvo in this whole (potential) ordeal. Even if this fails, if the NCAA proceeds with allegations/discipline, all the individual parties involved (UT, affected players, affected coaches, Spyre) will also have their bite at the apple.
Yep. This is the State of Tennessee's and the Commonwealth of Virginia's suit. UT and its legal team are waiting on the NOA. Insinuations and allegations on a call are one thing; a formal NOA is another. The NCAA is kinda busy right now with a lot of their resources allocated to hole filling.

I resemble that. On a more serious note, I have known, professionally only, the Judge presiding over this case for 25 years, and he is a very smart, well educated, level headed, fair, non-activist, Judge. He had several years service as a federal magistrate before being appointed to full district judge status in 2018. We will get a fair shake, as I have previously stated, which is all we deserve.
Is he a Tennessee fan?

Maybe have him confused.

I don't even live in Knoxville and recognized Garza's name. Generally any lawyer that advertises that much............ well...........you know
If you've been to the bathroom at any bar or club in Knoxville, you've probably seen Garza's name. I remember his advertisements right above the urinals.

I thought they might stay at 5

Yeah I curious if we could really avoid dropping, but 1 spot after losing to USCjr at home is strong. Voters still respect UK, sorta.

Tough to keep Kansas behind us and Houston, who they've beaten.

Speaking of resources. As an organization, I assume that the NCAA has in-house counsel. Is there a point when their in-house crew's bandwidth is exceeded and they outsource some of these legal arguments? If so, do they have the budget for that sort of thing? As has been speculated, if other suits continue to roll in, the legal expense burden could get out of hand. Much like the PGA caved to LIV when they saw the impending tsunami of legal fees, does the NCAA at some point wave the white flag?

Does UT have a recourse for speedy proceedings? NCAA can leave the threat hanging over our head indefinitely, and try to hurt recruiting while they're too busy?

A postseason ban would be a catastrophe.
That is a threat, not really enforceable. It's the attempt to dig way back and cobble together violations across multiple sports to try and make a case for LOIC that set UT into action. UT has been overly self-imposing for nits for many months. The NCAA is duplicitous, and UT has had more than enough. The chancellor's moral outrage is real.

They do not have the resources to fight everybody, and they could get hit from all directions. There are too many lawyers standing by and many billable hours to be had.

The process could take a while. The NCAA doesn't care if it hurts recruiting, and UT is already having to deal with that.
