In and of itself, probably not. Similarly, holding lots of legally purchased guns is also not a reason, in and of itself, to investigate someone for illegally selling guns. I assume you would agree, right?

The new payments maintained the steady flow of checks to her husband over the past two years. After Bush and Merritts married in February 2023, her office revealed they had been together before she entered office in 2021."

With the 2026 midterms a little more than a year away, and their poll numbers beyond abysmal, Democrats continue to double and triple down on crazy and unhinged. They are driven by an insane desire for power and their pathological hatred of President Donald Trump. Since the 2024 presidential election, they have refused to do any sort of collective introspection or reflection on the state of their party. Now, as if they needed one, they may have one more problem. There is always that one person who refuses to take the hint and leave, and Democrats are about to find out they have one, too.

Bush has also had some legal issues. Earlier this year, her husband, Cortney Merritts III, was indicted in federal court, charged with filing fraudulent applications with the Small Business Administration in 2020 and 2021, allowing him to collect more than $20,000 in COVID relief funds.
