Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Whatup Dink.

Who 's making some good music these days with this vibe..

Kinda Mazzy Star/ Sneakerpimps. "Shoegazer" type of vibe

* not really "Fade into You" Mazzy Star, which is the only hit they ever had...but all the rest of their albums sound more like CAS except with Hope Sandovals ephemeral vocals. I dig the laid back groove with lots of reverb...

I like that somg but my problem with Cigarettes After Sex is that almost all of them sound exactly the same. They're like the second coming of Savage Garden.

If you like Mazzy Star but with a more modern twist, this group has been glued to my record player for weeks. The lead singer is hot as f*** to boot.

Word. Yeah Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star was absolutely beautiful too from what little i ever saw her. She was very private though and didnt want to be a star. Also i think "Fade.." hit the radio and their album instantly went platinum...but they had recorded it like 6 years before and moved on to other things/albums so it was really weird for them...i just like CAS and laid back music in general.

I like lots of music, several different genres. And yeah shes pretty dude.

Gotta give it to the 49ers...they were down big last week to GB and came back. Down 17 poonts at halftime and scored 27 points in the 2nd half to win again.

Old Christian "Part Time" McCaffrey is absolutely dominant when he is healthy. Has 25TDs and lead the NFL in total yards from scrimmage....again. He is an amazing talent man when he is healthy. The Panthers just wore him out with 30-40 touches a game for 16 games, and theres nobody in the league that can take that week in week out except Henry. Henry could have been an All Pro as a DE or Guard on offense. He is that big, strong and dominant. The Titans have just about run him in the ground too though....because he's the only offense they've had just like Carolina. Oh well.

Who yall pulling for in the SB??

KC has 40% of that Oline dominant UT road graders....

SF has the Dog himself at WR. He had a big catch on 3rd and 8 tonight. I am gonna pull for SF but as always, I hope all our VOLS play well and i will root for them to have great games.

This is THE best video I have seen in the entire off-season about the state of UT football, the portal guys AND some stars of the 24 class coming in etc. Very well done, you guys should check it out or if really pressed for time maybe give it a listen on your commute etc.

*also check out our class of 24 Edge Jordan Ross at 20:50....goes behind his back before thunderdunk with 2 hands. He will play behind preseason All American Pearce at the LEO spot. He is actually much higher rated coming out of HS than Pearce and has dominated at both the Polynesian Bowl and UnderArmor AA all star games. Obviously Pearce should have also been a 5* though since hes a college AA projected as a high 1st rounder now. GO VOLS

Edit: lmao...Matt Ray gives a great breakdown on our recruits and players. This is a well done video and he is VERY knowledgeable about our guys and the recruits we are pursuing still for 25. He screws up only in the last 30 seconds when talking about a possible playoff run when he brings mizzou into the equation. We do not play them this season so if they are a factor at playoff time it will not be because we did/didn't beat them. Other than that its excellent.

Cost of electricity is so high that there are only 4 plants in the US now producing aluminum...and at least 1 of them is nearly idled as well. Electrolysis is a big part of running an aluminum smelter. 2 of the plants are run by Alcoa (but not the Alcoa TN plant) and 2 are run by another company....1 of which is in the small town where i live but its not running at full capacity.

Things are improving. I made a roundtrip to Chattanooga Tuesday to pick up stuff and top off cat food; started feeling bad on Wed. Decided Thursday the best thing was pack up and come home - tiring but OK - worst part was by then ears were so stopped up I couldn't hear anything. Friday drove the wife and her cat to the vet (brought him back with me on Tuesday when I saw he wasn't doing well); vet put him to sleep .. it was time - he was worn out. Wife walked into the vet with the pet carrier without a problem at 5 on Friday afternoon, and on Saturday couldn't stay upright. Got to the point I couldn't get her to and from the bathroom, so I switched her to Depends. That wasn't much better because she was dead weight and couldn't help at all.

Sunday got really bad - don't think my throat has ever been so sore and I hurt everywhere from coughing. I pretty much reached the end on my rope that night - room got fuzzy a couple of times; and I realized she was delirious - didn't even act sick, but a fever that I missed completely headed to 103. Called my son to come over from Huntsville to help, and then called for EMT. So wife was admitted to the hospital with COVID Sun night, and just transferred to rehab hospital today. My son checked in with the hospital, got some things for me, and is back with no bad effects so far. I'm on Paxlovid - makes an awful taste in your mouth; sore throat is almost completely gone, still hurts to cough but that's a lot less, and no fever for a couple of days.

The real blessing is the wife is at Siskin for at least of week of inpatient rehab, so maybe they can figure out the falling, balance, and on off cognitive problem. Seems more likely they will catch it there with daily interaction - nobody else seems to be homing in on the problem. Got up today to do a few things like take garbage out and fix a little more to eat. Back to bed soon - feel reasonably decent - still a bit tired.
hey man..saw you were on here this weekend. please give us an update.

Sadly, this is the most attractive person you've posted about.

And by most attractive I mean the most not "dried up and look like a dude"-est.

Ok hoss. If you say so.

Btw, name the woman I've posted about/posted a picture of and called attractive.

God made man and saw that he was lonely. So one day he said to Adam, “I can create the perfect companion for you. Beautiful, intelligent, loving, and kind…this partner can fulfill your every need and desire.”

Adam said, “That sounds amazing. What will it cost me?”

God replied, “It will cost you an arm and a leg.”

Adam thought about it for a few moments and asked, “What can I get for a rib?”

And that is how women were made.

I would but it'd break the rule of this thread since Georgian politicians with donkey faces make you wag your willy.

I never said MTG is pretty. She is physically fit which is attractive. She works out and keeps herself in shape.

The other women you are dumping on because they are in the 30's and 40's is ridiculous. Sage Steele, Morgan Ortagus, Julie Banderas, etc are attractive by most people definitions unless you like young girls only but thanks Fabio for the critic.
