The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness my old friend

I’m not bothering to research it, but wasn’t he a preseason Heisman candidate and then had a really subpar season? This makes you wonder.
It wasn't quite Heisman buzz, but he was widely thought to be 1st round pick material. Had a really underwhelming 2022 season. Was thought to be coming back for his senior year because of said underwhelming season, but surprisingly declared for the Draft amid rumors that he had actually been told not to come back by LSU.

There were also all kinds of rumors about him among LSU fans during his last season there...locker room cancer, was in a sex tape, etc. Who knows what all was true and what wasn't, but obviously he's a complete knucklehead.

It’s so weird how the media acts when it comes to coaches. I remember Raheem was universally **** on as the Tampa coach and everyone agreed he was bad. Now everyone is acting like was can’t miss.
I noticed the blue checkmark crowd really started jumping on his bandwagon when Jalen Ramsey unsolicited sang his praises in a press conference last year. Said he was the best coach he'd ever had, or something similar. That's high praise, but he also is crazy.

Tampa was awful when he was there...he's had quite the image rehab, I guess.

Random thoughts...

I think how quickly and precipitously Ryan Braun's career fell off a cliff after his PED suspension is forgotten about. He instantaneously went from MVP-level to just a dude. Overnight. He made one ASG the final 8 years of his career but was on a HOF-type trajectory until then.
