Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Yall killed the Gramps thread with the G-string talk? Can't have that folks. Best thread on VN hands down ya lazy bums...on a brighter note:

Nico and now GMAC at QB making a difference already with pulling WR interest nationwide. This kid WR Marcus Harris plays at national powerhouse Mater Dei in California. He sounds like he is wanting to come catch some TDs on Rocky Top...

Its with 1:01:52 remaining...so i guess go to 54:30 from the start. My phone says how much is remaining in the video. Hang on i will go check bro.

Yep start at 54:30 and its soon after...its no big deal man, i just thought it was cool that i was on the live chat on the morning where we all watched the video of GMAC live from Brentwood putting on his VOL cap....and I made a comment and later Dave reads my comment and gives me a shoutout live on the air. Haha..so it will forever be in GMAC history him talking to Marc the displaced VOL in Charlotte. So i am basically famous jk haha
Back in the FireRandySanders.com era I had one of my posts read on 104.5 by a guy that called in. It was Bama week and I’d posted that Brody Croyle wouldn’t be playing due to a groin injury. Another poster said they hadn’t heard anything about it and I replied and said someone had kicked Mike Shula in the jaw.
The caller played up the injury, referenced a post from Carl Pickens on Firerandysanders.com, read it and then started laughing.
It made my day

That is amazing. 🤣

Yall realize that at his current season long pace...with the ankle injury lull, not just the last 2 weeks where he has averaged 32ppg and won SEC player of the week both weeks...at his current season long pace Knecht is gonna be a shoo-in for SEC player of the year and a 1st team All American right? If he keeps playing like he has the last 2 weeks, or even close at maybe averaging 27ppg the rest of the way he would win AP National Player of the Year honors etc. Thats what kind of season and streak he is having man.

He went 17 for 17 on freethrows against UF and Bama too which isnt mentioned in the article...as well as shooting close to 60% from the field and 48% from 3 point range. He isnt just a 3 point shooter or shooter only like Chris Lofton was either. He can drive and dunk effectively (although if you really watch he always wants to go to his left and is much more effective that way. Hes almost unstoppable if he gets a step to his left)

What he has done this season is nothing short of incredible. This season is only halfway over...but good grief man. The guy wasnt even offered a D1 scholarship out of HS and had to go play ball at a community college. He is the best offensive player we have had since Bernie...and the only player in the Barnes era or at Tennessee period in decades that we run isolation plays for at the top of the key. Basically just Barnes just tells everyone else to drag their defender out to the perimeter when he gets hot or we really need a bucket so that Knecht can create offense on his own without anyone to get in his way or double team. Much of the rest of the game is high ball screens around the top of the key to give him a chance to go to his left....and IF the bigs slide over to double?? Knecht drops the ball in to Aidoo who will dunk it ! Thats SO hard to stop. Ask Bama. Or anyone else we have played with a healthy Dalton Knecht.

This is the most exciting BasketVols team I can remember. Ever. So glad we have this to help us get back to football season or at least to spring practice man. Wow.

^^^ playing chess while the rest of us play checkers Joey. When i read that comment about soup i thought " i want to be able to smell the chlorine from 6 feet away before i get in someones hot tub." Bringing your own chemicals is next level planning bud.

There are some things we're better off not knowing.

Yep. My wife waited tables for a few years when we 1st got together as pups, and she gets her drinks in a to-go cup every time we eat out. In over 20 years I have never asked her why...I don't want to know. Whats funny is nobody else that eats with her/us ever does, and her mom gets water to drink and asks for lemon every single time. I have read more than once about lemons being the no1 thing NOT to touch when eating out because the ones that have ever been tested have more bacteria than the dirty rags the busboys use to wipe down tables between customers. The truth about microbes and tiny bugs even on and IN our own skin 24/7/365 is absolutely horrific though and none of us want to know about that either. Ignorance truly is often times bliss. In my experience intelligence and happiness often have an inverse relationship as well.

For those expressing concern over public hot tubs, I have something unsettling I'd like to share. If you like ice in your restaurant drink, don't ever ask the last time the ice maker was cleaned and sterilized thoroughly.

F u I sterilize it with nickel safe every month.

Stay away from Outback and come to my place! We wash our caddies and cut fresh fruit for every shift.
