I'm all about going after him, but he goes against everything Kiffin wants in a QB. I don't see Newton developing into a full time QB in his system, although I do remember a QB here doing very well handing off and executing simple bootlegs.

just because he is black and extremely athletic doesn't mean he isn't a pro style QB. Cam actually has all the tools Kiffin is looking for in a QB. He has the height, build, athleticism, cannon, and is very relaxed in the pocket. Watch his vids.. he would be a star in this offense

Chris Leak didn't fit Urban Meyer's system either. How did that one turn out. :wink2:

Yeah, I said he's not a fit because he's black. Not because he's shown to be an better runner than passer and the word on him is he has Crompton-esque accuracy.

If he doesn't have the accuracy, he's not a star. I have no interest in Rivals vids.

are we persuing him hard? Or are we waiting to see what other qb prospects we can get to commit before we really get after him? I think it would be smart to sign him with two other qbs to have a guy who can start early while the other two battle it out and learn the system.

hopefully you have watched him play to make the observation that he isn't accurate instead of listening to he say she say talk from Bob from the Gator shack that thinks he knows football.

their is more than rival vids...its called watch him in person or on CBS when he took it right down our throat on his 2 drives. Urban wouldn't want him here thats for sure.

that could be true but maybe they feel he is closer to waht they want than anyone else out there? They are not all that thrilled with what is out there being able to deliver in 2010 for them...
