I think we get Hendrix and either Newton/Mason/Strauss

I always think it is difficult to pull kids from out there but heck, we might. Not sure how much we believe in them either... IMO, we like the juco better... might like Hendrix's potential better..

not thrilled with any of the high school kdis being able to produce in short term... looking to compete quicker than they can help do it.

just my opinion...

Good players don't shy from competition. Manning/Stewart were 1&2 coming out of HS, both came to UT. I really feel we have a good chance at Scroggins if the staff gives half the effort given to Heaps. Legaux would sign if we offered him.

makes sense to me if we miss on Scroggins and Heaps.. we go Newton and Hendrix. This would set us up for a big fish in 2011 class where the Qbs are much more talented and polished.

This wouldn't be a terrible situation and could really benefit UT for its future. however, I think Heaps is going to be a special qb and I really wish we could grab him up.

yea in my opinion if we miss on heaps...the other guys on the board are all future potential guys that won't help as freshman besides for depth unless its a JUCO like Newton who would have been our starter last yr and this yr if he were here. 2011 is loaded with immediate impact QBs. Lemay starts day 1 on whatever campus he steps on.

We will get either Heaps or Scroggins and Hendrix! Never underestimate this staff and their recruiting (Brown/Oku/Richardson/Teague). There is more need at QB then there was at running back and look how they did. Scroggins has family all over Tenn and would probably be easier to sway than Heaps,but I wouldn't count Heaps out. He loved Knoxville when he visited and knows our obvious need. Hendrix will commit as soon as Kiffin tells him to, I think they may hold him off until one of these others commit. My son has a friend in Knoxville that is very good friends with Hendrix and says he will commit soon! Need some big receivers in this class as well.

The reason Heaps is Silent Reply
-The staff feels confident they can get two stud quarterbacks and feels confident that they can get Scroggins as well. Heaps is comfortable with this and is remaining silent on the staffs request until the staff can convince Scroggins that UT is the best situation for him even with Heaps there.

but back on topic, it would be an amazing feat to get Heaps and still be workin on Scroggins to come here too. If that was to happen, it would really show the nation the power of our staff.

My hunch is that we get Heaps and that Cam dude. I think we'll be in good shape

I would be very happy with that. Cam is a hellava athlete and has some experience in the SEC. He is a very good safety blanket.
