And only allow halal or kosher preparation for other animals.

Then you have another 1.5 billion vegetarians, mostly in the eastern hemisphere, that would disagree..

I'd say this is agreeable to many in the west, but it is a bit of a localized view. Far from agreed upon or objectively true. Whether for religion or ethics, a fair portion of the world would disagree. Oh well.
