The watermelon beer is a slight note on the back end. Its a wheat forward beer.I could see a cherry flavor in a stout. I am good on the bourbon aged stuff too. I just don't like fruit beers or overly sweet ones.
There are German Hefeviezens like Franziskaner, or Delirium Tremens. People drink with fruit (lemon or orange) all the time.
This is one of my all time favorite beers. As I said, the stuff JC Brewing is doing is strange for this side of the Mountain. Pisgah. Red Devil. Several layers deep, complex flavors. People just assume because its fruity, its sweet. Highly acidic, organic. Complicated, each pour is different.

Should try it. Flavorful is how i'd describe it. Sweet it is not. Its a lager before its a fruit beer.
