what needs to be permitted? Are you over the dollar limit? Most jurisdictions will let you do that stuff without a permit as its essentially maintenance. a permit should only kick in if you are doing work with a dollar amount over some percentage of the value of the property. It's very frustrating. I understand some would skirt proper building practices, encroach on easements, etc. But it is demotivating for me because I am trying to upgrade a property and do it right. I am trying to make it safer by removing wall heaters, the fuse panel, and such.
I should have just had the work done quietly and asked for forgiveness if caught.
good teams can come out of weak conferences. Clemson won it all twice despite coming out of the ACC.
like I said, I just want there to be a consistent standard. that is applied year after year. as it is it just seems like the committee is picking different favorites every year, and going back on what they said previously. that uncertainty is what bothers me.
Its kinda funny but this just reminds me this is why we went to the BCS computer system to remove all biases and keep a consistent standard.
Unfortunately it's more than would be considered maintenance.what needs to be permitted? Are you over the dollar limit? adding rooms, expanding, or adding "major" equipment would require permitting, but if its mostly replacement you should be fine.
just learned Hitch a Ride solo..80% there in pretty well mastering it. Some tough fast oarts but not too bad with all hammer ons and pull offs. At my speed limit though.
Considering Tom Sholz played it, thought I would see how he plays it. Absolutely dreadul..shockingly. Makes me wonder if he didnt record slowly and speed up as guitar is tuned half step high or cappoed.
Is there something special about the game being played by "amateur" young men which is lost by them having agency over their name, image, and likeness? Serious question because I like to understand how people think about things.this NIL stuff where kids go to the highest bidder and buying teams..just too professional now.
Just dont like buying players. It doesnt buy school loyalty as exhibited by the transfer portal. Is there something special about the game being played by "amateur" young men which is lost by them having agency over their name, image, and likeness? Kids make a commitment to a school and it diminishes that choice. Life lessons.
I want kids that want to be at a school because they want to be there, it is a dream, more pure. Of course I am being naive that it was ever pure. You even know about my father.
I am sure others on here could explain better than me.
i dont disagree with it. I just said I dont like it. If schools and media can make billions. Those days are long gone if they even ever existed. The NCAA and universities brought this upon themselves by being stubborn and sticking their head in the sand.

I prefer the days of Jefferson Pilot and TBS. Just nothing but money.

Understood. I think you may have a romanticized view of the sport wrt to buying athletes. Has always been a part of it. Now, it is simply out in the open.Just dont like buying players. It doesnt buy school loyalty as exhibited by the transfer portal.

I like the new system. Coaches don't have loyalty. We don't even expect loyalty when a better offer comes along. Why should loyalty from the young men?
