Did they lose a game with their backup?Youāre right I exaggerated that, but apparently they are no different with their backup QB than with Jordan Travis and are still one of the best 4 teams in the country.
Ahh i see you are moving goalposts now. When the facts donāt fit the narrative, move the goalposts to fit the narrative. Love itBetter Players != Better Product
You can put a whoās who of actors together and the resulting movie or show still be trash.
Mets had some of the best players money could buy this year. How did that product look?
This whole forum isnāt surprised by these comments under the circumstances of who got in and what had to happen

Misinterpreting excitement and chaos for quality isnāt hard.
You may like college better, and thatās fine. But the product on the field isnāt even close to the same
Sounds like a sequel to Planes, Trains and Automobiles.@skasper06
Is anyone looking to carpool or split a room?
I'm driving down from Knoxville on the 31st and coming back on the 3rd. (Friday-Sunday). Is anyone interested in splitting a hotel in the Lakeland area (much cheaper, right between Tampa and Orlando). Or is anyone interested in carpooling down? As of right now I'm going alone but that's a...www.volnation.com
It's that time of year again!
No. Iām not arguing their record, Iām just arguing that they are not one of the best 4 teams in the country right now.
Itās better football. Thereās no denying it. you enjoy the chaos of college. I enjoy the quality of a nfl gameQuality of the players is not synonymous with the quality of the overall product. More goes into the overall product than the individual players.
The NFL is a soulless, amorphous entity. Its major appeal is that you can turn on a game and expect a roughly homogeneous product as background entertainment. Fantasy has been a godsend for getting the general public to consistently watch.
Itās special pleading all the way down.Based on what? FSU has passed every test since Travis got hurt. We can assume they arenāt one of the four best, but on the field, theyāve done nothing to confirm that assumption. Neither win was a thing of beauty, but Alabamaās wins over pedestrian teams like Auburn, Arkansas, and A&M werenāt things of beauty either.
Not convinced Bama and Georgia are the two best teams. That's SEC bias on your part. I'm not convinced Bama could beat Texas now, after losing to them already. I'm not sure how Michigan or Washington match up against Bama. Not sure how you can just declare Bama and Georgia are the best when they haven't proven it on the field.Context matters. Not all conferences and schedules are the same. I'll take 4-1 (with one win being UGA and the loss being Texas) vs 2-0 against top 25 teams.
You are kidding yourself if you don't believe the two best teams in the nation weren't playing in Mercedes-Benz Stadium yesterday. To deny that, is just letting your Bama/UGA hate override your rational brain.
As a diehard UT fan, I'd be more upset if I felt UT was a better team being left out vs a "deserving" team which wasn't as good relative to the competition.
