I just can't believe how many idiots we have in here defending this corrupt 🦬💩
Maybe our biggest rival is the beneficiary of one of the all-time biggest screw jobs in the history of this sport (and there have been A LOT of them in its illustrious past), and they’re defending it.

Couldn’t be me.

how can anyone remotely defend what happened today ? This was clear bias against an Undefeated team. FSU was robbed
There is no way that anyone will convince me that THIS FSU team (without Jordan Travis) is one of the best 4 teams in the country.

I don’t particularly care that Bama got in, but FSU should not have been included.

If you take JJ McCarthy, Penix, Ewers away from their teams I’d probably say the same thing.

All in games that didn't matter though... So why can't FSU do it to '23 Georgia?
83 Miami was for the recognized national championship…. which we have devolved back too…. Some pencil pushers eye test helps determine the champion…. Whether they win or lose…. There will no be NAtional championship trophy…. no names in the record books…. no parades… Just a let down team that doesn’t want to play in that game.

I don't think the argument has ever been about who's best, it about who won the games. No other sport chooses the best, they get in because they won. FSU won.

Yeah, that’s about as deep as the committee’s thought process was, too. You should see if they have an opening for next year.

THANK YOU. They don’t go to the power ratings board to pick the NFL teams to send to the playoffs lol.

Wins earn the spot. I don’t give a darn if the whole team breaks their legs the week before the selection. The wins don’t belong to the player, they’re earned by the program.

Obviously not. But they are clearly a diminished football team without their QB.

And I’m not saying I would be against putting them in over Bama. Or Texas.

I think it’s crappy for those players. I’m just saying I can see they are clearly not the same team at this point.

I think the NCAA bball committee does this too, right? Is it met similarly with a gnashing of teeth?
Sometimes, but there are 68 teams. I can get over not being one of the 35 (or whatever) at large teams. But when you leave it up to humans with bias, this is what you get.

For all of you chortling about not spelling Citrus without UT, stop it. It was a jab at us my Steve Fricking Spurrier. Making fun of us cause we could not beat him. It is dumb to joke about it now.
drvenner, king of the Dad jokes (or Peay depending on who you ask). Laughing at ourselves takes the insult away from the person giving it. Getting butt hurt over it makes Spurrier happy.

I'm also happy we retired him from college football coaching.....twice.

Then they need to include the best 8 records and not consider division champions.

If wins and losses are the only thing that matter then they should take the best 8 records….they don’t do that though…that’s not their system.

College football does 🤷‍♂️
Again, that’s why we’re all mad about it. The whole notion we were sold of a playoff in college football was: “settle it on the field; not in the papers, not on Twitter, and not in the board rooms.”

Yet we’ve gone right back to beauty pageant football. New boss, old boss.

It is telling that damn near very NFL game I watched today had mostly empty stands. I don't see that in the SEC + other decent programs around the country.

Something is missing in the "product" of the NFL vs CFB.
Misinterpreting excitement and chaos for quality isn’t hard.

You may like college better, and that’s fine. But the product on the field isn’t even close to the same
