I think this would be a great strategy for FSU. I mean, screw it - end on a high note of 13-0, conference champs! Why would they even care about some consolation bowl after that screw job. Can you imagine the media following that would generate to have a major conf champ boycotting their bowl game?!
It would affect ACC/FSU bowl payouts. ACC wouldn't allow it. Probably some contractual verbiage in conference membership agreements.

This is a fan perspective.

Players, especially older ones, prob gonna want to play in a bowl game

Every down, every play is contested. Yes they are talented. You cannot tell me that the calls they get, and DONT get, are NOT favorable? Saban wields too much influence, ergo the 'human factor' is influenced.

Theres a reason gag orders are placed in trials. One's inability to be objective is influenced by their biases. As evidenced last night, and during the Iron Bowl, Kirby visibly rooting for Alabama.

A 13-0 conference champion has done everything it has been asked. And is waay more deserving than Bama, because they are who they are isnt reason to choose them.

These are the same 'unbiased' media idiots that chose Charles Woodson, er coaches, AD's whomever.

Bottom line is this. If the outcome is already decided. Then my question is, 'what is the point in watching?'

How could anyone tune in for a 1v4 matchup with the biggest cheaters vs a team that got grandfathered in by their name??

I hope UM blasts them and the committee has to explain that shiz. But I won't be watching.
This is ideal but unfortunately I think Michigan isn't for real.

Fair question:
Since losing a key player is apparently a criteria in choosing who makes it in, would the same apply if Bama had lost Milroe at some point in the season??
🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
Ohio St lost their 1st and 2nd string QB in 2014 and still made the playoff. So to answer your question, I doubt it lol
