I'm not sure why it took this long for the odds to flip. FSU doesn't look like the same team without Travis. They had two games to prove that they were still a top four team, using both backup QB's, and couldn't do it. Against both Florida and Louisville, they had their lowest passing yards, yards per pass attempt, passer ratings, total offense, yards per play, and points scored (24 pts versus UF tied the Pitt game) of the entire season. By contrast, Ohio State beat Wisconsin 59-0 in the 2014 Big 10 championship game using Cardale Jones; 558 total yards, 10 yards per play, 255 passer rating. They used that game to successfully make their case for playoff inclusion after losing their starter. FSU failed do that, IMO.
