The committee can leave fsu out and get validated because it would put them vs UGA in the orange bowl and it would be a beat down.Everyone wants to overthink it.
Michigan (undefeated conf. champ)
Washington (undefeated conf. champ)
Florida State (undefeated conf. champ)
Texas (1 loss conf. champ with H2H win over other conf. champ).
First out: Alabama (1 loss conf. champ with H2H loss to other conf. champ), Georgia (1 loss non-champ), Ohio State (1 loss non-champ), Oregon (2 loss non-champ).
It kinda sucks because it's going to push us to a lower bowl but this is how it should be done, and honestly it's pretty straightforward. Yes, FSU looked terrible but they won. Their defense is championship caliber. They'll get their backup back for the playoff so the offense should be improved.
What Booger said during the broadcast last night I wholeheartedly agree with. If you're just picking the best teams on paper then why are we playing the games? And if H2H doesn't matter then why on Earth would a team schedule a H&H series like Texas V Alabama in the future. The committee can leave fsu out and get validated because it would put them vs UGA in the orange bowl and it would be a beat down.
1. Where's the Sugar on here?
Texas yes. FSU no. FSU isn't being left out because they are the same team and it's simply eye test. There's a major injury and FSU has half the production on offense because of it. FSU plays UGA in the orange and it'll be validated. The complaints stop shortly after the New Year. What Booger said during the broadcast last night I wholeheartedly agree with. It has to matter. FSU is undefeated and won the ACC. They've earned it, and anything can happen in the postseason.
If you leave out FSU or Texas then that ramps up the "regular season doesn't matter anymore" complaints.
So this would put the SEC runner ups in instead of the champs..and knock Texas out who beat Bama in Tusc…Saban would sh!t his pants..lol..and honestly I don’t give a rat’s a$$ if Bama gets screwed but it does bother me if Texas gets screwed..That is messed up.. in the meantime, Saban will do this:Honestly I dont see how UGA drops out of the top 4 after losing by 3 to a top 10 team. I feel like they will drop to 3 and the top 7 looks like:
1. michigan
2. Washington
3. UGA
4. fsu
5. Texas
6. Bama
7. OSU
So the whole playoff is based on 1 weekend. 1 game eye test ????Because the eye test is important, if FSU came out and dominated Louisville tonight then there is no debate.
Its all about who are the best teams playing their best ball at the end of the season.
My main argument for UGA is bias about their past, so if you can ignore that then Texas should be in.
But between Alabama and FSU given the games that were played today, who LOOKS like they belong. A team who just beat #1 or a team struggling with a 2 loss team?
