It would be highway robbery to leave a 13-0 P5 conference champ out of the playoff based on an injury. Are they really a top 4 team without Jordan Travis? No way. Would they have earned the right to be in the playoff more so than Georgia and Alabama? Absolutely.

I don’t see how you leave 13-0 FSU out of the playoff based on their body of work, and I don’t see how you put Georgia or Alabama in over Texas. Texas is a P5 conference champ, something Georgia isn’t, and Texas beat Alabama handily when the two played earlier this season.

Booger McFarland was just talking about it and he made some good points. It’s about wins and losses. Wins have to matter. He said if they don’t then why play? I agree. An undefeated conference champ gets in. Texas just dominated in their conference championship. And they beat Bama in Tuscaloosa. Bama beat UGA at a neutral site. That matters.

You are right if FSU wins it should be Washington, Michigan, Texas and FSU.

Coaches make a huge difference in high school, imo. Obviously good players do too, but a lot of teams with good players dont make it because of bad coaching.

Love it. Lots of folks in the mid state were doubting Houston’s toughness. Houston dominated their way to the state championship and won tonight in dominant fashion. Go Mustangs!

I just wished younger fans understood the hatred between gumps and the real UT. Sadly, they’ve only seen the matchup for the last 16 years, outside of last year. Hating on that off color dark red was a way of life growing up and still is now. It sickens me to root for that butt sniffing entitled team and fanbase to lose because I knew which team would have to win. 🤮.

Because the eye test is important, if FSU came out and dominated Louisville tonight then there is no debate.

Its all about who are the best teams playing their best ball at the end of the season.

My main argument for UGA is bias about their past, so if you can ignore that then Texas should be in.

But between Alabama and FSU given the games that were played today, who LOOKS like they belong. A team who just beat #1 or a team struggling with a 2 loss team?

There are some 9-3 teams better than this FSU team right now. Heck, we are probably better than FSU right now.

Also, no one argues that the NFL regular season is pointless and less fun because more teams make the playoff. I keep seeing this argument that the regular season won’t matter. Well I guess the NFL doesn’t matter either! Not to mention seeing Wild Card teams upset favorites in the playoffs and go on big runs is a lot of fun.
