No skilled offensive player will come here because Barnes emphasize defense over any offense and it appears he cannot even coach that now. Barnes is the UT version of Jimbo Fisher. Over paid and under producing. At least Jimbo actually won a championship.

Passing the ball 10 times for the same shot you had after the first pass is really unimpressive. We don’t play good defense. We hold scores down by milking the shot clock every time we’re on offense. UNC is running up the score because we’re throwing the ball away under little pressure.


Barnes gives up wide open 3’s like Martinez/ Banks give up the first down marker on 3rd down pass defense.

I have supported Barnes no questions asked his entire tenure here....but I'm done. I'm tired of seeing this. I'm sure we'll win a lot of regular season games down the stretch but come March, this is what we will see. It's time for a change. We can have all the talent in the world but it's useless if we can't utilize it.

So Barnes is making $5 million plus….

Who on earth are we going to hire that is a known quantity with recruiting prowess that can get over the Barnes Hump?

You folks don’t want Beard because of off court issues. Bruce isn’t coming back for same money. Tommy Lloyd ain’t leaving Arizona.

Tennessee dumping Barnes just to go back to mid major route is dumb. You don’t go from 4th highest paid coach in the country to cheap just because of emotion. LOL

We are not going to spend 5M+ on the next coach. We didn’t even spend that much on Heupel’s first contract. We will spend 2-3M and hope it works out.

It’s not the UT way to spend big on a new hire. We only pay big bucks if the coach has some degree of success here first.

So if we aren’t going to spend on current levels for a coach that is better than Barnes, why are the morons thinking moving on from Barnes is going to somehow elevate the program to new highs at a cheaper price? 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Has anyone ever seen a coach that mistimes his timeouts like Barnes.

He calls one now but never thought to use one in the first half to end UNC's incredible runs.

Actually he did use the extra 1st half TO to regroup. Also, there is zero evidence that calling TOs stop opponents runs.
