I must be easy to please. Cause im happier than a three peckered puppy we won 8 games.

-Mayo boy is a fraud
- Jimbo got canned
- Lesser Stoops had second coming of Levis, and lost
- Vandy is vandy
Uh, sir… you forgot something.

FLORIDA HAD A LOSING RECORD

FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW. GOD IS GOOD.

I posted this story the other day.....

2016 AL local news story about the "command center". Steve Shaw (AL alumni) says at the end of the video that calls get "reofficiated" during repl

Steve Shaw leaves the SEC after nine years and will continue to be the Secretary-Rules Editor for the NCAA Football Rules Committee.

*the front line "fair catch" when we played alabama was initiated by the review team. There were no flags on the play and the ball was spotted when the review team stopping play to move the ball back to the 4 yard line.
I think technically that is a rule about spotting the ball and not a penalty, so it wouldn't be flagged. It was, of course, quirky and highly unusual, especially given that the video shows that not a single Bama player paid even the least attention to the wave.

The multiple (no-call) flagrant personal fouls that Bama committed on the same play are much more telling. They would have marched the ball right back out from the 4. And this following the flagrant no-call OL holding on the previous play (the TD) turned the game completely around in short order.

Thanks. As I later appended to my post: I don't think facts of matter, as far as our games are concerned, require this "backstory" (or any other "backstory") to be legitimate. The calls and no calls are there to be analyzed. I just wanted to ask you before I forgot about it.
We got hosed by the refs in the 2nd half of Bama. Can't argue that at all.

But what's crazy is Auburn got a ton of calls in the iron bowl. Even a completely wrong call went their way. Makes no sense that the conference would step in to keep Bama in playoff contention using the refs in our game but would forget to make sure they get favorable calls against auburn.

The ball was spotted and the ref signified 1st down Tennessee and we were ready to play. 20231024_014248.jpgThis ref gets a call on his headset20231024_014259.jpgHe walks by our huddle carrying the ball and spots it at the 4 yard line.20231024_014301.jpg20231024_015202.jpg
That last pic is what CBS said was the fair catch signal, after we punted the ball back to alabama.

*This is the play that sticks out in my head. No onfield official threw a flag. Birmingham officiated this call. That's not what replay is supposed to be used for but it was on us.

Brutal....
3 bottom feeders in Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and Mississippi St.
2 teams in turmoil in Kentucky and Florida
Only 3 teams are Anywhere near brutal ... Georgia , Alabama and maybe Oklahoma...
Non Conference is cupcake city ...

Now reply with I'm ignorant and delusional...
And the classic🦬💩
That Arkansas team lost to ole miss by a touchdown in Oxford, lost to lsu by 3 in Death Valley, and performed better in 2 identical games than we did: beat uf in the swamp, lost to bama by 3 at bama.

Until we have talent level akin to bama and uga, no SEC game is a given or a bottom feeder, besides Vandy.

For the record: I agree with the rest of your comment. I like our schedule next year, dependent on the order of the games.

Regardless, our guy gave a fair catch signal (not that one by Dee), so that was indeed the correct call. Hard to use a correctly called play as criticism of officials. There were SO MANY incorrectly called plays in that game that deserve criticism, this is a weird one to fixate on.

Idk. I didn't watch that game. I did see that bizarre facemask no-call on the interwebs.

I am not clear on the "backstory," but I agree we got hosed in the Bama game to an extent I have never seen. I think the same thing happened, if to a lesser degree, in many games. Uncanny.

Would you remind me of the situation you spoke of before where someone was alarmed that someone outside of the game crew participated. I don't remember the specifics. I see it wasn't replay officials at a remote location.

That could be because there is no vast conspiracy. Just incompetence and, maybe, some individual bias sneaks in.

Ok, overstated. I wouldn't be surprised if Saban places undo influence on the adopted rules.

Then why didn't the onfield officials call it dead? Why was the replay booth allowed to make that call? Why didn't B-ham call the hold on Baron a play earlier? That would have been the "correct call". (The TV showed the replay of the TD and we've all seen pics of the chockhold.)

Birmingham stepped in to put TN in a hole.

It was a bull crap call and you know it.

I only want Joe in the bowl game if we have an 80 yard bomb drawn up

I just want to see him shoot the football to the moon. Just to see it.

Draw up the "run as far as you can" and chuck it. One damn time.
I would love to see this if we can figure out how to buy him enough time. Play #1 off of a kickoff touchback. Other team expecting our standard run between the center and a tackle. Maybe bring the tight end in to help block. Play action to the rb blocking. So you got 7 defending the pass rush. Send squirrel on a seam route down the hashes, past the safety who won’t be able to keep up that far down field, and let Joe throw it to the end zone. It’s what the people want and we ought to see it after having to wonder where it’s been all season.

No. The problem, if you look at our Bama game, is that the distribution of bad calls and no-calls makes incompetence almost 100% impossible as an explanation. Everything was completely one-sided. And a similar extreme side one-sided distribution occurred in so many of our other games. Incompetence is more haphazard. "Vast conspiracy" is baited speech.

Inaccessible details of the "backstory" is not necessary to grasp the facts and the overwhelming pattern of facts.

The amount of "individual bias" necessary to explain all the wrong calls we suffered would call for termination of those officials and their supervisor. They would be biased, by definition. And so eager to apply their their bias, based on the sheer number of occurrences, that it would merely be to say that multiple individuals were rigging games.

of course... such a lose - lose game for us.
I’m surprised he’s gonna play. Doesn’t really have anything to gain from it for himself or unc. If he’s matched up against our pass rush and suffers an injury bc of it, would just absolutely be a shame considering how high he is likely to go in the draft currently.
