Like I said, I can’t fault him for wanting to play.I don’t necessarily think that’s the case, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were. So I’ll concede.
if that is the case, it comes down to what matters to Joe. Does he want a minor payday, or to play one more real game? The risks are there, but if he would regret not going out there one more time for the rest of his life then it still isn’t worth taking the safe route. If I were him, it’s hard to say what I’d do. I think I’d rather play, but that’s with my financial situation and family. I don’t know his, but I’d assume he’s made enough at Tennessee to make him secure in his decision.
TN has everything to be one of those programs.Again, that’s not a rebuttal to my point. It’s just a straw man. But I’ll play. I’ve said it’s not a fireable offense, not a ceiling. People like you who have sky high standards are the reason we couldn’t even sniff 8-4 for 15 years. Demanding to be Alabama or Georgia every year is a good way to become Kentucky every year instead.
This play by Bama against Auburn was similar to what UF faced the last play in Neyland 2022 after they got the onside kick. TN decided to rush 5/6 and got to the QB and forced a bad throw that resulted in an INT. That is what Auburn should have done also. They rushed two guys and kept a 3rd to spy.
They had a second layer of 3 guys doing absolutely NOTHING.
Then had 5 in the end zone. Bama also had 5 in the end zone.
They win 99% of the time if they rush 6 and drop 5 at the goal line. Milroe would have about 2.5 seconds and no one is running 40 yards into the end zone. I bet he would have just chucked it up and it probably get's picked or falls short on the ground.
I will never understand coaches who choose to rush 2 or 3 in that situation. You know they need time to get downfield, don't let them have it.This play is similar to what UF had the last play in Neyland 2022. TN decided to rush 5/6 and got to the QB and forced a bad throw that resulted in an INT. That is what Auburn should have done also.
Couldn’t disagree more. And Cade lol. Comparing Cade and Nico is comical. The offensive coaching at Clemson is offensive. He will get that next season. The bowl could help, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter that much. It sure didn’t help Cade Klubnik getting a start against us for his next season.
It makes zero sense that people do not understand playing is the best way to grow. It does not necessarily make or break next year, but it sure as hell helps his growth and seeing the game at full speed as a starter. This makes no sense. I’ve seen posters here say it 100% makes or breaks the 2024 season. 2024’s record hinges on a bowl game in December 2023.
Nebraksa fired Bo Pelini, and he never won less than 9 games in 8 seasons. It’s really worked out well for them.Les Miles, bucktooth, and Kevin Sumlin didn’t do nearly enough to warrant firing to any sane person. Hell, bucktooth horse face won the East more times than he didn’t and still got fired. It was insanity.
Napier is out recruiting Mullen by a mile, Dan wasn't getting better.Les Miles, bucktooth, and Kevin Sumlin didn’t do nearly enough to warrant firing to any sane person. Hell, bucktooth horse face won the East more times than he didn’t and still got fired. It was insanity.
Not talking about Mullen. Arixona has nothing to do with A&M. That’s the same argument we used for Fulmer, worked out great.Napier is out recruiting Mullen by a mile, Dan wasn't getting better.
Sumlin proved he deserved to stay by going to Arizona and getting fired.
Miles had other issues besides the fact that he hadn't won the West in 5 years. CFB was changing and he wasnt.
