Recruiting Football Talk VII

We keep making fun of Billy and he kicked our tails this year and has a higher rated recruiting class.
THIS...

Not sure why a lot of folks on here either forgot or don't want to admit we got owned by Billy and he out-coached Heup in every part of the game. And they suck.

Next year will be a W.

Lots of variables unknown still like you said. Biggest one of them all is Nico. This is a game driven by elite QBs and if he’s what he is being touted as then take the over.
Nico could really be transcendent...and it still not make a huge difference thanks to 💩ty OL and WR play.

I'm not saying I expect crappy OL and WR play...but it is kinda hard to expect above average play from those positions at this point.

Ok, Yay go us, we get to go to the who gives a damn bowl, Yay go team

That better?

Maybe more emotion. I believe we will be better next year due to upgrading the qb and athleticism in the back seven next year. 7 & 22 are serviceable / good linebackers right now. Whoever the younger herring is needs to play.

The secondary needs a complete revamp with upgraded coaching. Would love to see terry fair back here, but I doubt it happens. The freshman and sophomore class has so much more god give talent than the guys that played this year. 35 wasn’t a big drop off from the starter at star.

Luck.

I said it last year and I'll say it again and people will get butthurt. That Bama game was pure luck. Gibbs makes 1 catch TN loses.
Yeah because there were no other plays on that game or any other if the outcome had been different, the game would have changed. If Milton throws it 3 inches lower, we beat Ole Miss. If the refs spot the ball where it should have been spotted, the Pitt game likely has a different outcome.

I don't think there is a WE or an US here. I don't see what you've done to be part of this team? Which is probably what you prefer, yes?
? I'm confused by what you're asking?
If you're question is would I like to have some control or be able to contribute then sure. Not being able to control it is 1/2 the problem.

So you see:

UF
UK
Arky
Nc St
Miss St

as a 100% shoe-in, cumulatively? Even if we're 2 TD favorites vs every team on average, odds are we'll drop one of 5.

It seems like this is the part of the schedule people ignore and yet you see it almost every season. Have to take them cumulatively, not just >50% equals a sure win.
The only real absolute screw up this year was against UF...that game was the difference in 9-3 this year, and it will probably happen next year...not UF specifically, just blowing a game we should win.
