Texas aside from a year here and there has been very average and largely overrated over the last 15-20 years. I don’t see how you factor them in that high. I think until Oklahoma and Texas actually play the sec should any ranking of them be taken too seriously. They may do well and deserve to be there but no way I would have Texas a top sec threat when they have struggled mightily in the big 12 for the last 15-20. And Oklahoma while a very solid addition like Texas has had many highly ranked teams that always seem to end up not being what they were hyped of being. The true test will be when the contest are played. GBOI see the SEC this way.
The top teams have everything needed to consistently field elite teams and should be in the title hunt most years.
The middle teams lack in certain areas but have enough to be competitive most years and can occasionally field elite teams and win a title.
Bottom teams can have a good year every now and then, but will never win a title.
Top: Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Florida, LSU
Middle: Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Auburn, Tennessee
Bottom: Everyone else
