Looks like any team with a dominant big man, or just more than one big man, will have an edge on us. I hate being 3 ball dependent. Hope we aren’t soft in the paint. Sec might not be too kind to us.
Vescovi was the only one making 3s in the 2nd half. Aidoo is better this year but Awaka is still struggling with foul trouble. Estrella needs some peanut butter sandwiches

Everyone missed point blank shots and layups. I've seen that a lot the past couple of years. I don't know what causes this team to go totally cold shooting, even from the paint.

Too dependent on the three it feels like so far, especially in this tourney

If we ever want to break into the final four, we have to master 3s. That's the way basketball works today. It's disappointing that we had such cold spells but I still think Knecht is very raw. This isn't a bad start to the season at all if we can build on it.

Unfortunately I don't know a good answer on why we go stone cold at times beyond us recruiting defenders first but even that doesn't really explain it.

Not a good shooting team without a post presence. Not a good combination. That being said I bet Barnes talks about defense in the press conference. Same ole same ole.

Knecht is a 5th year grad player around 23 or 24 years old ...shouldnt be too raw...

He has no familiarity with our defense and little familiarity with our offense. That's what I'm talking about. Early games he's done well enough but looked lost more than once.

ETA - If he's fully cooked in our system then he's good but over rated.

Maybe, but he needs to get healthy. I think they’re rushing him back a bit.

If he can play defense like he did today, you can't afford for him to not be on the court.

Look, defense isn't sexy. However, he was the main reason the game was remotely as close as it was. Haris Jr has carved up multiple teams with triple doubles thus far this year for Kansas. Today, due to ZZ, he was a non-factor.
