While I don't really care how this all falls out, I will say as a Vols fan, I'm good with changes being made. Some schools have gamed the hell out of the system and I'm over it.

A thread...

Been saying that all the D.C. politicking by Saban’s henchman to limit NIL and other avenues for athletes to profit from their own brand, is dangerous poker! Trying to prevent athletes from their relatively meager box puts them in the bullseye of having to share the multiple BILLIONS in broadcasting/marketing deals. Stupid gonna stupid cuz Nicky and Kirby got used to having it all.

That's exactly right... and I'm here for it.

What they like most about it is cheating with impunity and unequal or selective and predatory enforcement applied against their rivals.

I think "the wild west" is by far the least bad option because there is no possible just enforcer. Birmingham and the NCAA are hopelessly unjust, and Congress is worse.

Keep plugging…your efforts are appreciated. 😎

What if I play a 12 game schedule one year where I play 11 scrubs and then the prior season I played 11 teams that were offensive juggernauts?
If ifs and buts were candy and nuts. That simply isn't the case and I'd argue never is. Obviously the strength of schedule changes year to year, but its never that drastic. Last year some teams were better offensively (Bama) but South Carolina wasn't. They were terrible most of the season. We also had 4x more games where we held our opponent below 10pts, and 2 shutouts. More games where we allowed a ton of yards, but also more games where we completely shut them down, so it should balance out right?

This year we have been more consistent with less variation and statistically are still better.

Stats matter. Eyes deceive.

If an offensive player moves across the lane and runs into a stationary defensive player with arms raised - that is a foul on the defensive player.

If one player under the boards jumps up for the ball and is hit in one side by one opposing player and has his wrist grabbed by another opposing player on the other side - it is a foul on the one player jumping up.

If a shorter player positions around a giant who uses his body to shove the smaller player out of the way, then hooks the shorter player - it is a foul on the shorter player.

If the giant shoves a tall defender with his hip out of the way when the defender has his arms up - it is a foul on the defender.

If the giant stands in the lane for 7-10 seconds on five different occasions without a shot being taken with his teammates in possession of the ball - the 3 second violation is not called.

If a player is dribbling across the lane is tripped and grabbed at the wrist and loses the ball - there is no foul. If he falls into an opposing player after being tripped - it is a foul on the player dribbling the ball.

C'mon folks - that was about half of what happened in Purdue's favor in the last 7-8 minutes of the game. Totally predictable and all on video. Same old same old. Let's stop with the game was called fairly with the 30 versus 21 fouls crap.

Bilas is trying to influence officiating and fans. His efforts remind somewhat of the treatment of the 2021 BaseVols. You saw president bruh of Purdue hop on board.
I concentrate on the game...anyone that watches sports ....should ignore commentary of the game ...it has zero effect on the game.....

Why should Tennessee fans care what he says ....let him coddle Edey all he wants lol.....

In conclusion, He is a Duke Graduate...enough said...
