I feel like this is kind of do or die time for Heup and his coordinators. Not that he's getting fired or should yet, but Nico is supposed to be the guy. You have him for 2 years as your starting QB. If you waste him because of a bad defense it's a terrible look for Heup. Plus I think 3 ish years for any sort of coordinator is a common contract which puts Heup into year 6. At that point the excuses are over and it's time to be the guy or not.

Oof. A poster in a Discord forum that I’m in posted his bet slip from last night. $50 same game parlay for Marquez Valdes-Scantling to have a longest catch of over 12.5 yards and an anytime TD that would have won him a little over $320. It would have hit in that last 1 minute if MVS doesn’t drop that long TD that would have won the game for the Chiefs as well. Baaad beat.

The edge will be good, but I feel like the interior will struggle some with the upperclassmen we lose.

Not sure we can fairly judge recruiting seeing how we haven't had a year yet without the shadow of major violations hanging over us. Even CJH said that it's seriously affected recruiting and they've been dealing with massive negative recruiting.

Did you even read my response? Has nothing to do with Banks and whether or not I think he should be fired.

It was about you naming a ridiculous name for DC, that’s all.

Tim Banks was Co-DC and SAFETY coach at Penn State...so that should be his best area on field the backend of defense....

He's never been solely responsible for a defense until now. I understood the hire at the time and gave him the benefit of the doubt. It's time to hire someone more qualified. The longer this goes the harder that will be.

And you do the same. You give no creedence to my stance. Glad you have faith in him. Oh and by the way, if you have to complicate your argument up, chances are it's not that good of a position. Often the simplest conclusion is the correct one.

And then he disappears for a majority of the game. He’s got the same amount of carries as Jayden Daniels. And two other QBs are not far behind him. He’s so freaking productive. I’m not chastising him, just wishing an alternate reality where he even had just 50 more rushes. The best back in the league.

I think I mentioned he is one of those backs who gets into a rhythm. That is hard to do with a 3 headed monster. I get what we are doing, but there is also something to be said for sticking with who is hot at the time.

WM is the only on-field coach that did not receive some sort of contract extension last off season. I think he may be the primary shakeup this off season. I think the others will remain in place for at least one more year as most folks knew this was likely a transition year with Joe at the helm. Offense was going to take a step back and so would the defense due to the offense not scoring nearly as many points. I think if we don't see some marked improvement next year, there may be additional shakeups in the coaching staff.

It depends on the contracts.
Normally you aren't extending one year then firing the next.
The best thing that could happen is Banks moving to a small school to be a HC.
