We need someone that can throw the ball and run when necessary. KJ is not that guy. He is not accurate with the football and would be Joe Milton 2.0 at best.Bro he plays for Arkansas lmaooo
Go look at his soph and junior stats my guy. Also has 600 yards rushing in each of his last two season. Got around 500 this year.
Smhhhhhh
No one said it was the standard. Heck, it wasn't even the goal a few years ago. We have rarely had 8 wins in the last 15 years and you want to crap on it like it is the standard. The standard has been just trying to qualify for a bowl recently which absolutely sucks. We have been thru heck the last several years and we lose so much and win 8 and you want to call it a standard. We are building in the right direction and I am not happy the last two games but teams even like AP have figured how to scheme Joe and losing Hadden who guys like you wanted to kick off the team( and he pissed me off a few times) killed this D. Yes a corner who can go against their best on and Island really makes a difference. Losing him made us go back to last years soft zone and bend don't break along with Joe's incompetence. I wanted Joe to do great but as more and more film in real time and not garbage made it obvious how to stop him and the WR's did not help with their lack of getting space. Here is a positive. Joe had plenty of time to throw against Georgia last night and we had so many OL out. Their DL is not that great. They are getting weaker though better than us and that is with depth and 5/4 stars. They are not as good as they have been and not as good as they looked yesterday and on the same hand, our program and team are not as bad as they looked the last two. 2021 what would be junior class being decimated has finally come home to roost. Just deal with it and keep supporting the Vols at Neyland or from home. But now is not the time to start over with a new staff.8-4 being the new standard here is great.
Would Lamb consider this? I would expect him to move up to a lower level FBS job soon with his success at GW.Yup, ETSU was successful under Sanders and then GQ turned it into a terrible program in 2 years. No doubt we could get someone decent, a lot of people I know are interested in Tre Lamb from Gardner Webb. Or maybe ETSU can take Tim Banks off our hands![]()
JMO, hooker would have been worth two more wins this season. He lacks consistency.
Especially when his receivers are average.
You people pretending he did NOTHING right just suffer from Joe derangement syndrome where he's never made a good throw or play at any point in his career.
Gaston Moore is a walk on QB and he'd be a disaster in the long run, especially with what we have been working with.
Joe was playing at a pretty high level Bama through the first half of Mizzou. Fact. We just live in an era where you need exceptional QB play and we have a team that can't afford to miss many opportunities because we are so penalized and have a million players hurt.
Short of having someone like Jayden Daniels (8-3 LSU team) we would have needed a Heisman like QB to make up for this teams issues. Not Gaston Moore and I seriously doubt Nico was close to being ready early in the year. Especially since anyone who saw him in practice knew he needed to develop.
Do you really think Hendon makes us win a game we lost 36-7? Does Hendon go down and win in Gainesville? With that officiating and the defense laying a damn egg like it did? Not to mention Casey Clausen is the only QB to win down there in FIFTY years and had already lost in 21'
Joe was 12/13 in the first half at mizzou. Does Thornton not tear his ankle? Does Wright not fumble? Do the refs not call phantom holding calls every time we are in the redzone?
This narrative that we were just a QB away this year is just plain stupid.
A QB away from what? 9-3?
-HubbsSpraggins left the field on crutches. He won't play next week. He will have an MRI. There were some ACL concerns last night. Davis walked off the field under his own power so I might be back we will have to see.
I don't know what the deal is with Campbell and Mincey. Mincey could play in an emergency role down 4 scores but couldn't play when the game was on the line?
I have a hard time counting on Campbell or Mincey for Vanderbilt given yesterday.
We had a walk on playing nickel after the first few plays for the entire game. LB's have freshman or backups playing outside of Beasley who can't play every snap. Walker was out and Slaughter is out of position at CB as we have lost 5 guys in the secondary. This being with a team that was short depth anyway. Wasn't a great D before we lost over half of our players. Losing Hadden means back to soft zone which we all hate and bend but don't break hopefully because we don't have Hadden against their best on an island. We have not been the same since he went out at Bama when we had held them to 7 at half. I give Banks another year with hopefully a much fuller deck with some of these young guys getting a chance. We had over 11 guys out on offense and defense. I can't believe how we had two OL out yesterday and Georgia still could not get to Joe. Of course, it didn't matter since Joe is not that good. I did not want to believe we would struggle and until injuries came like a flood, we were 7-2 but it has caught up with us big time. You can't win in the SEC with walk on guys in the secondary. McGill was right. If we had bad injury luck, we could look ugly and fans would turn on CJH. I know you are not turning on him but plenty are and with BVS, it is hard not to doubt when we see some poor decisions.Pay me $1.6mil and I'll share that with you. How many years does he need? We're 3 years in to this abomination of a defense. It's an embarrassment to even call it defense.
