4 years minimum, which sadly puts a program behind if the coach sucks, but if it works out then it’s a good thing.

Right now, we needed consistency, and when I say that I mean at minimal winning season. I’m just hoping at this point Heupel can be a bridge to someone else that can take us to an elite level. Heupel helped clean up our mess as a program, has us being a respectable ball team. At least he has us back in a national spotlight again in some capacity

We need to stabilize the program and re-establish the floor being where we are this season. Heupel exceeded my expectations in year 1 and 2 and came up short in year 3. I wouldnt consider a change until we see recruiting stall and an exodus of talent from the program. That is probably 3 more years minimum unless things really go sideways.

Not fire, just hot seat. The check writers know it’s bigger than him now. They will make sure we are playoff contenders if he can’t. I still think he can but the defense has to upgrade and he better have a qb in Nico. Joe can’t make the reads or throws we need.

I’m just mad. Haven’t been this mad in so long even though I knew we would get killed today.

There’s no way hot seat should even be mentioned. People have lost their minds. We deserve to lose if people really believe that.

If you have a DUDE at QB and the rest of your team knows it then you can win a lot of football games.

This year our QB doesn’t have two rocks to rattle around up there and the rest of the team knows it. We won’t have to worry about that going forward.

Prime example: Houston Texans this year. Roster is dogshit and they’re winning games because… the qb

It’ll be hard for us to get a transfer QB in this cycle as well unless we can sell that Nico ain’t nearly as good as advertised and that there will be a legitimate QB competition in the off-season.

Given the fact Nico’s only played 5-6 series all year, it shouldn’t be hard to do

I get it. The last two weekends of football have been awful for me. I'm a UT fan #1 and I'm still upset from the Missouri game. Today went as I expected because I faced reality after last week.

To add to this I'm a Bengals fan and they were awful last Sunday and the season ended on Thursday.

It's not easy anymore. HC's don't flip jobs like they used to. Everyone has money. It all comes down to the QB and OL/DL recruiting. You have to nail your evaluations going forward.

Next year wont be better, lets face it. We are losing 4/5 starters on the OL, losing our TE’s, one, possibly 2 WR’s depending on Bru. Not to mention losing most members of the secondary, DL, and Beasley. It is not going to get better nexf year

Team completely fell apart at end of season. Offense is pathetic and worst of career. Defense looks terrible and poorly coached. Same **** with penalties, not looking motivated, etc.

Nobody is calling for Heupel to be on the hot seat but he’s lost a ton of good will with the fans—who were paying absurd costs for tickets, etc this year. He’s got a lot to figure out this offseason
