Some of y’all just seem to get too emotionally charged up and irrational as hell.

Joe Milton is entering his 3rd year here, healthy.

Nico is coming in as the highest rated QB we have ever landed.

In what world is any transfer QB that’s elite looking to come here with absolutely ZERO guarantees they’ll even play let alone start? Come the hell on. 😂

He won’t be on the hot seat if he goes 8-4 next year.

We will hear, “this was Nico’s first year, what’d you expect him to do”

That coupled with the fact that he and DW are buds.
This, when are we going to quit making excuses?
2 years to get to Atlanta or it's time to move on, at some point you have to set expectations.

Huepel is to blame for all of it at the end of the day. Good or bad. Last year he got all the credit in the world and rightfully so. This year is not a good look and he deserves criticism. Defense improvement was fools Gold. Joe ended up being the joe none of us wanted. Seasons over and next year with expanded playoff should be primary focus. Fix the issues even if it means upgrading staff/ players. Huepel will be on the hot seat if he goes 8 or worse next year. No matter what these other morons says.
100% agree that he deserves criticism. He's the HC but there is no way he is on the hot seat with 8 wins again. Maybe by fans but not the people that write his checks.

It doesn't matter if he's on the roster if he's not playing. With average QB play this team could've been 11-1, take that guy and move on.
This team didn't need a QB thay didn't want to play.

I'll remind you of the importance of him not being on the roster this year because he was redshirting when he's making you salivate next year.

You don't get next year's elite QB play without this year's redshirting. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

What people didn't want to happen to Nico today. For nothing. He'll start in the bowl game imo.
No, he won't. Have you not been watching ? This is the Joe Milton Loyalty Tour and it's not ending until after the bowl game. Unless Milton sits out the bowl game on his own (God knows why), he will start. I will give 100 to one odds on a dollar bet (to one person, I'm poor), that Milton starts whatever bowl we play in

That’s a great point but I’m telling you money is the biggest voice in the room. The revenue after last years run has really boosted the university. They have to be a contender. I didn’t say he’d be fired, but I’m telling you they will have a hard conversation if he only wins 8 in year 4.

8-4 against a weak East/SEC. 0-3 against the big 3. Lost all games by double digits.

Team completely fell apart at end of season. Offense is pathetic and worst of career. Defense looks terrible and poorly coached. Same **** with penalties, not looking motivated, etc.

Nobody is calling for Heupel to be on the hot seat but he’s lost a ton of good will with the fans—who were paying absurd costs for tickets, etc this year. He’s got a lot to figure out this offseason

This is pretty much how I feel too.

I'm not salivating on an Elite QB, HH proved all we need was average, Joe couldn't even hit that. We could've easily found a good enough guy thay wanted to play this year.

Okay I’m a little more lenient than 2 years lol

4 years minimum, which sadly puts a program behind if the coach sucks, but if it works out then it’s a good thing.

Right now, we needed consistency, and when I say that I mean at minimal winning season. I’m just hoping at this point Heupel can be a bridge to someone else that can take us to an elite level. Heupel helped clean up our mess as a program, has us being a respectable ball team. At least he has us back in a national spotlight again in some capacity

so if the plan all along was to redshirt nico, then WHY DIDNT WE GO AFTER A TRANSFER QB???? We wouldn’t be in this situation if we got a transfer qb. We could have sat Milton a long time ago and had a different qb, or at least sit him when he isn’t performing for the transfer, but instead we rode with a mediocre qb, a qb with no intentions of playing this year, and 2 walkons…

VQ has said that we did kick the tires on transfer QB’s but couldn’t make it happen with any of them. Most transfer QB’s want to transfer to a place where the starting job is open. The outside perception was that Joe was the incumbent who had just played a really good game in the Orange Bowl and we had a 5 star freshman coming in. Not a situation most transfer QB’s want to step into.

It’ll be hard for us to get a transfer QB in this cycle as well unless we can sell that Nico ain’t nearly as good as advertised and that there will be a legitimate QB competition in the off-season.

Who is Huepel?

If he folds when things don’t go well then he isn’t your guy. Let’s find that out as soon as possible.
So it's not about development, it's about knowing he can get kicked down and keep getting back up?

I personally disagree with this strategy, but being mentally tough is vital for being a good QB

HH was average? Jesus man you sound so dumb.

How quickly people have forgotten truly average & bad QB play here because of how quickly Heupel has turned things in the right direction.

I'd rather have a couple solid transfer DTs

I say 2 years because I believe any decent coach should take every one of his recruiting classes to Atlanta once.

When we have zero spark on offense we are dead! Am really confused about offense. Feels like JG 2.0! JM is not the answer. I rally hate saying that but we have enough at this point. No chance you kick the field goals the last 2 weeks if you have the slightest faith in your QB!

If I get flamed I give zero sh#ts. Is no chance that is better than having GM start! JM has not a clue. So wanted him to be good!

Football has and will always come down to one person.

The QB.

Not the head coach. Not the depth of your OL or DL. Not the defensive coordinator. The QB.

If you have a DUDE at QB and the rest of your team knows it then you can win a lot of football games.

This year our QB doesn’t have two rocks to rattle around up there and the rest of the team knows it. We won’t have to worry about that going forward.

So Hooker wasn't an elite QB talent last year? You might want to tell the rest of the country and the Detroit Lions (who are still pretty high on him despite the injury) about your theory of average QB play from him last year.

I'm starting to think you utilize the same sized bus Milton does.
