Is she singing the National Anthem or performing at half time? I can't remember anyone other than a choral department member singing the anthem.

My wife asked me this morning if we wanted to sell our tickets for the game. I gave her a dirty look bc I wanted to sell them when they were going for $1,000 before Florida. As soon as this story broke, she came into my office and said “ if dolly is going then so are we.” Woman is a saint in my house.

Dolly is totally genuine and down to earth as you can get. She's happy in her on skin, even if it's stretched, botoxed, and caked with make up. With her there at the game , this could change things.

My best guess is UT begged her to come after we crapped the bed in Columbia last week. It build excitement and feels less like an execution.

I believe the guy that sings it now is chairman of the music depth and agree that he is fantastic. My mother always told us many years ago she contacted Dr. Andy Holt directly and suggested he have someone sing the national anthem with the band so fans could join in. They knew him through state legislature and sounds like something she would have done.

I love that she does so much to give back and help the citizens of Tennessee. My boys love the "Imagination Library" books that they get each month from her. My 3 year old says "Daddy, Dolly Parton sent me a book!" She has never let fame go to her head.
