lol, I didn't even realize it was going on now. I'm stuck in rehearsals for the weekend, concert Sunday; the whole world could have ended and I might have missed it. Unless they canceled a rehearsal, I guess. Congrats to little-ish Davidson!

Lol, no, not at all. I’m in Asheville Symphony Chorus, and our fall concert is this Sunday evening. Preceded by nine hours of rehearsal this week. When all four of my classes have sudden and dramatic due dates.

Another minor concert next Sunday that still involves some doo-dah.

I’m always sort of amazed to see when I get to class that I remembered to put my shoes on before I left the house.

- The songs for the concert this weekend are in German, Slovak, and Hungarian. I know German, so no big deal, but Slovak and Hungarian, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

Very yow!!! They are very, very different from German (and from each other.) Slovak is Slavic. Hungarian is Uralic and distantly related to Finnish.

We don’t have to know it, although we do need to understand the meaning of the lyrics for proper expression. We just try to pronounce what’s written on the page.

I always wonder if we’re saying that the elderly aunt is way too affectionate with her pigs or something.

When I married Hubs, aka “the keeper”, I didn’t take his last name. It’s Ukrainian (Jewish Ukrainian), sounds vaguely Italian, is continually mispronounced, and together with my first name sounds like I’m a blocker on a women’s roller derby team from Brooklyn.
