There's really nothing else like it at most Universities, these sort of clubs never usually have that much power. Can you imagine SSS choosing the Student Government at UT? They'd get laughed at for even suggestions. Where as the machine has even chosen people for the Bama legistlature....They act like a wanna be knock off redneck illuminati/mafia. They choose most positions of power in student government they carried it over into state government at times, and they certainly have used it for all sorts of positions on campus, and their usually the ones organizing all the ways to skirt SEC rules when it comes to recruiting and payouts etc. This isn't some Fury conspiracy.....it's common knowledge there.

Not discussing them, and talking about wantingt o fix the corruption in SEC officiating is completely ignoring the literal elephant in the SEC building. if anything is getting "fixed" in Bama you can bet they're involved in it. ALways are always have been.

I thought this was why we have a Politics Forum, and to keep political discussions (which this is) out of the Zone. Or so I’ve certainly been told before.

Yes, The Machine is real, and yes, it dominates student government, and yes, it has attempted to influence city (non-University) government, and yes, they are steaming piles of chit, but no, it has absolutely nothing to do with the game, and THAT it why it doesn’t belong in this thread, and THAT is why you’re getting such pushback. Not because we’re ignernt ostriches.

Take it to the PF. You’re harshing our mellow, which was already harshed enough yesterday.
