But make no mistake. China does not have naval superiority over the US. China has...barely...more total ships than we do. Most are not even "blue water" ships ...more like Coast Guard variety we use to intercept drug runners. China has 2 total aircraft carriers. 1 of which is still under production. We have more than a dozen of our largest carriers, and a bunch of smaller carriers too with VTOL F35s and Ospreys on them. We have more Destroyers, battleships, etc. Chinas navy is in no way as capable as ours. The entire rest of the world including china, india and the UK have 5 aircraft carriers combined if I remember correctly? Dont worry about chinas navy brother, thats just scare tactic reporting when they say china has the largest navy in the world. While technically true*, its in no way indicative of the relative strength.

* technically bc china counts every ship in their navy best i can tell. If you count the larger ships our Coast Guard uses we still have more ships than them also. Their navy is mostly just CG variety. So even that 1 misleading stat isnt actually true
