Squad member Ilhan Omar dismissed a reporter who was questioning her calls for an Israel ceasefire as a 'crazy lady.'

The Representative for Minnesota was being pressed on her views about the conflict in the Middle East by Fox Business reporter Hillary Vaughn in Capitol Hill on Friday.

Omar, 41, ignored the journalist's questions as she entered an elevator and told a staffer: 'Ignore this crazy lady, don't worry about her.'

It came on the same day she issued an impassioned plea aimed at President Joe Biden and his leadership over their support for Israel in the war against Hamas.

Omar has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and humanity and freedom for Palestinians.

The phosphorous specifically? I know there are caveats that exempt it in some ordinance instances. Also, it got discussed earlier in the thread, I don't recall the breakdown, and don't really feel like looking it up. I think @GreyWolf1129 (sorry to ping you if not) posted about it if you care to backtrack. It just doesn't really resonate as probable to me that Israel would use it again while aware of the scrutiny they're under.

Nash's post with Greta's response/ apology highlights a problem I have with her and those like her. Blind emotional support of a cause is often very problematic. Often because of ignorance of the very subject being championed or protested.

This very subject...... The Israeli/Hamas war.

People want Israel to stop their campaign against Hamas for the Palestinian people's sake and I get that..... But this doesn't resolve Israel's problem....... Nor does the immediate institution of a dual or two state.

Does anyone really believe that as long as Hamas has any control there can possibly be any peace between the two?

Maybe, but you have to be willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Am I completely convinced...... Not really. But there is some doubt and it's a reasonable response......... But this is proof positive why we shouldn't really take them all that seriously....... Unfortunately their supporters do.

The "octopus move" was low-class. Very low. That's Tlaib / Omar level low. Deleting the post was an admission that she knew how low it was.

So...she lit the fuse, and it blew up in her face. Down here where I live, they say "You just had that one comin', hoss."

She won't, but be smarter next time...

Odd thing for me now that I understand the reference....if there wasnt a known reason for it to be there and it's a tool for autistic communication, why is it on her knee as opposed to the shelf or table etc??? Strange

No hypocrisy, is seeing racism in every perceived slight but giving the benefit of the doubt in the reverse.

Stupid is often associated with things both racist and incorrectly perceived or claimed as racist. The inability to attribute it in two different directions is hypocrisy in action.
